Well, you've read the notes, the notes were bored, and now it is time for you to post until the bored cows come home.

Today, I'm going to my mom's for a family dinner.  My sister and her daughter and boyfriend are coming over, too.  I don't know what we're having, but I'm sure that everyone will have something different...as usual. ;)

Last night was chilly and I expected three cats to take up 99.9% of the bed. Only Stella stopped by, too often on her way to wreak havoc somewhere in the apartment. Annabelle finally dropped in around four o'clock to crawl under the blankets and snuggle up to me until she got warm.

I had a ton of strange dreams, all elusive.  I know that in one I was working at Barnes & Noble, and in another my mother gave my very little brother Randy a beautiful Rottweiler puppy.  My mother was African-American.

I have to get to the bookcases behind my bed today.  Stella decided to climb into one to get to the roll of paper towels I keep there for emergencies ranging from my spills to Annabelle's hairballs.  In her attack on the paper towels she knock a ton of books onto the floor.

Kitty cleanup is accomplished, and I will have a bit of breakfast before I make the bed.  I need to go to the lobby and pick up a couple of packages, and then I plan to have a day of idle luxury.

My dream would make no sense if I were even tempted to describe it. I only wonder why the passing of some law favoring SAG-AFTRA got into it, and what that had to do with enabling us to see a greater distance (like, all the way across a county) when playing a videotape.

Ah, DR Elmore must be of either the idle poor or the idle rich persuasion...

I had an extended dream last night of the classic "unprepared" variety: I was going on with a symphony orchestra. I didn't have the proper concert attire and also had lost my music.

I do know that in a real symphony, the librarian takes care of such things.

Sorry about your scare, DR John G.  Glad that the owner has their dog so well-trained.

I have never personally been attacked, but dogs I have been walking have been attacked by loose dogs. It is a scary experience.

I am pleased to announce ABE VIGODA, the 32nd play in THE HOLLYWOOD LEGENDS Collection.

Aside from being my long time publicity client, ABE VIGODA was a good friend.  I knew him from the very early days of "Barney Miller" through the rest of his life.

As with most people, I first became aware of Abe when he played "Tessio" in THE GODFATHER.  He was a 50-year-old (unknown) actor when he made that now classic film, who had been working on stage and in television for well over 25 years.

Instant stardom!    ;)

As you might  imagine, ABE VIGODA is a rather special play for me.  It's available in paperback and Kindle editions via Amazon.

Production rights are available.

I did not know about Clip Grab until reading about it in today's notes.

The web says that some anti-viral services classify it as malware.

On television, one of the Sunday morning talking heads said that in the 2016 election, 45 was channeling his supporter's grievances, but in this election, it's all about his own personal grievances. That seems about right.

In yet another post about Hitchcock’s Topaz...

Last night I fast-watched the Blu-ray. I started later than I’d wanted to, so I watched some scenes all the way through while fast-forwarding through others in an attempt to spot the differences in the extended version. I don’t find any place on the internet where anyone has itemized the differences, which is surprising. But I didn’t spot additional scenes, just extended dialogue. Of course, doing it this way, I could well have missed things.

Aside from the version, I felt I was seeing for the first time how colorful and beautifully shot this movie is. I was never distracted by anything like the digital messes found on Marnie and Family Plot.

Before that, I watched The Skeleton Key which had somehow eluded me prior to my discovering it on cable several years ago. Wow. What a cast. Greatly enjoyed it, and was as properly taken in by the turns of events as I was my first time. Love when that happens.

And how can one not love that the plantation house is the one used in Hush...Hush, Sweet Charlotte? I ask you.

I think Sherlock Holmes solved many crimes by making sure he would OBVERSE all the details around him.

George, Bad Salsa was my mom’s favorite. I thought Christina Rae was a shoo-in. I didn’t much care for the country-rock duo. They were good, but it was all covers and not in any new way. But maybe that’s what voters liked. I loved the poet, but found him an odd fit on the show.

I had bad salsa once. Left it opened in the refrigerator for too long.
