T.O.D.
Love HAMLET, particularly the Olivier version.
When I was a freshman in the Drama Department at the UW in Seattle, I played "Osric" in a one-hour TV production of the play.
Marian Hailey, who later did films (LOVERS AND OTHER STRANGERS, etc.) and Broadway (the HARVEY revival w/Jimmy Stewart and Helen Hayes), was "Ophelia," and the play was adapted/directed by Rod Whitiker, who later wrote THE EIGER SANCTION for Clint Eastwood. "Claudius" was played by David Seidler, who won an Oscar a few years ago for writing THE KING'S SPEECH.
John Gilbert played "Hamlet". He went on to become a member of the Seattle Rep.
Sadly, no tapes of that production of HAMLET still exist.
Also, during my Freshman year, I played "Grumio" in a stage production of THE TAMING OF THE SHREW.
