DR MATTH wrote;Thank you, DR MATTH. I’m interested in the another episode you mentioned, as I think I’ve never seen it.  However, I couldn’t find it on http://www.twilightzone.org/index2.html. or on another Japanese site. ???

Hisaka, a very Happy Birthday to your mother.

"Nothing in the Dark," written by George Clayton Johnson, offers Gladys Cooper as Wanda Dunn as an old woman who has barricaded herself in her basement apartment for years, fearing that Mr. Death with kill her with a touch. Wanda knows that Death can take many disguises. But despite her fears, when Harold Beldon, a young policeman is shot outside her door, she drags him inside. Of course, the fact Beldon is played by Robert Redford might have something to do with her letting her guard down.

DR MattH, I have not seen any infatuation with Logan up until my last episode.

Oops! Sorry to have spoiled it. But it IS coming!

I can empathize with what DR Jason is going through. Dealing with the public can be wearying and soul-crushing. On the other hand, it does help put food on the table. I'm sure you have an endless array of things you tell yourself that help you get through the mind-numbing junk from day-to-day. And on bad days, even that doesn't work.

I know you're looking forward to having the day be over and heading out for some "me time."

Plus, if DR Jason were to jot down some of these confrontations, he'd have the makings of a book

Oh!  Yes!

A good title might be "There Most Certainly IS Such a Thing as a Stupid Question" (and subtitle it: "And they're asked by some pretty stupid people!")

THE BISHOP MURDER CASE was released in 1930 so the sound was fairly primitive, lighting wasn't always advantageous to the actors, particularly Basil Rathbone who was wearing the heavily mascared eyes from the silent movie days.

Still, it was a pretty fun mystery, and I was proud of myself for figuring out the murderer's identity before it was revealed.

I'm about 45 minutes away from leaving for my doctor's appointment.

It hardly seems fair that my day end so early...but there it is.

I also started watching PRIVATE LIVES and got through about 45 minutes. Montgomery and Shearer are just fine as Elyot and Amanda, though a bit more clipped British about them would have given the comedy just that little bit of extra zip. I've always liked Reginald Denny, but Una Merkel is trying as Sybil.

It's said that the NYC performance of the play (with Coward and Lawrence) was filmed so that the MGM stars could refine their performances by watching how the originators of the roles did them. I'm not sure that's really true, but wouldn't that film be worth a fortune now if it really existed!

And here I am, "Yadda yadda this and yadda yadda that!"

Well, yadda yadda!

I didn't get a chance to listen to the KISMET soundtrack yet. Possibly tonight after CSI goes off unless I'm still enjoying Norma Shearer.

Dealing with the public:

I am not of the opinion that the customer is always right.  I always go out of my way to deal openly and honestly with customers, but if they behave unreasonably or are just plain wrong, then I don't care who they are, and if that loses me some customers in the long run, that's just tough beans.

That's three show biz people who have disappeared in less than a week.  Hmmmm.....

Well one got found

Quote
APPLE VALLEY, Calif. -- Scout Taylor-Compton, star of the 2004 teen comedy "Sleepover," was reunited with her family Thursday, two weeks after she went missing.

The teen actress had last been seen Aug. 12 at her family's home in San Bernardino County.

The Apple Valley Police Department learned about her whereabouts from school officials Thursday and returned Taylor-Compton to her family, said Jodie Miller, a spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

"She seems to be unharmed, no evidence of any criminal activity during the time she was missing," Miller said.

The department previously said the girl was believed to be a runaway.

Additional details weren't immediately available.

Taylor-Compton recently finished filming the independent movie "Tomorrow Is Today."

She also goes by the name Desiree Compton
