PARENTING 101
« on: May 13, 2010, 11:59:11 PM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes had no nanny, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they were just about to come home, but they called their daddy who told them they didn't have to if they didn't want to.

TOD: Don't know if I'll get to any DVDs this weekend. More overtime has been approved. There's also a few events at the wine festival that I have to cover. So, the weekend is eaten up. Sleep will be on the agenda for any free time.

CDs: We listen to plenty at work, and I think I'm going to take my seven CDs of '70s music, "Have a Nice Decade," to add to the playlist. I've played more than 10 Ella Fitzgerald albums for them and no complaints so far. But rok is more appealing to most.

Have a great one, all.

I totally agree with BK's rant about child raising today.

The frightening thing is that these kids will be running our country some day.  Hopefully, we won't be around to suffer through that.

Good morning, all! I'm trying to get my energy up to do some laundry, but so far the lazy slob side of me is winning. I have an edit session with Skip Kennon today at 1 pm, so I'll head downtown around noon. I need to make a trip to Staples this morning for paper and ink to print out several scores.

TOD:
DVD: BATTLE CRY, THEY CAME TO CORDURA
CD: Kimmel Rare Tracks, Liz Callaway, a loty of McGlinn discs
    VCR: oy!

And the word of the day is: AFTERCLAP!

Wasn't that the quickly-cancelled tv series that was the sequel of the long running hit comedy CLAP?

Peter Filichia's comments on sitting through SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM make an interesting sideline to BK's rant about child raising:

I was going trough some stuff last night and came through some notes about the stage reading of First Nudie Musical. Ted Detwiler played Harry. Too bad he didn't look like this on stage :-)

I think BK covered essentially ALL the horrors of current parenting trends among the rich.

I wonder what the simple folk do?

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And it's been another ConEd morning - which means it will most likely be another ConEd day.  -Meaning the power to the building keeps getting "interrupted", and, subsequently, so does the Time-Warner cable and internet signal.  -And I believe it's even affecting AT&T's coverage in the area this morning too.

Many do the same exact thing except without a nanny.  Bad parenting knows no monetary boundries.

Well... Since I'm not in the mood to keep resetting the cable modem every 10-15 minutes... And since I'm my cousin for lunch at 1:00 on the East Side... -Oh, and she got married last week! (-In a civil ceremony here in NYC, with a big church wedding planned for this summer in Seattle, I believe)... Well...
