I really liked last night's show. I"m not sure i totally agreed with who america put in the B3. But i definitely agreed with who went home last night.

I don't get why danny and anya have been in the B3 two weeks in a row. I think they are absolutely breathtaking.

I really think that the choregraphy saved pasha/sara and neil/lauren from being in the bottom.

I was a bit surprised that hok and jamie were in the bottom. I thought they were very popular. But i suppose their dance was one of the weaker ones.

I never really liked shauna. I did like cedric. But not as much as hok and danny (both of whom i really love).

I was happy they saved jamie. She has always been great. Plus i love anya. So it had to be shauna.

And even though cedric was good this week. I think danny and hok are better. It is sort of ironic that he goes on the week when he was really surprising. But what can you do.

I don't really like lauren or sara. I think either of them would have gone if they had been up.

The Virgin Megastore is offering the next Harry Potter at 40% for V.I.P. (Virgin Important Person) members.  And since I'm a V.I.P., well...  We'll see.

As for the Friday Media Check...

Hmm... I think the only thing I played this week was the OCR for Legally Blonde.

Well, I have some dishes to wash, as well as get ready for "Cassie Dance" rehearsal...  And after rehearsal - which just lasts an hour - I plan to come back here and spend the afternoon and evening cleaning, organizing, sorting, shredding, etc.  It must be done!  In any case...

DR Dan (the Man) - Have you checked your mail room today?

Nope, Jose--but I will make it a point to actually stop by there myself when I come back from lunch.

I hope you all realize that by buying books at discounted rates, the author's royalties are impacted?  You should all pay full-price!   ;D

Actually - it is the small chains/mom and pop bookstores (if there are any left)  that are suffering here. Because the large chains are able to offer these discounts, the smaller ones have to as well, and so they're not making any money on these tremendous sales.

Well... I have to say the biggest "plus" for me in regards to the Virgin Megastore is that I walk by it on my way to and from work for the most part.  It's convenient.  And open until 1:00am, so...  ::)

Well, I hope "it" is there after lunch.  Almost all the other domestic mail I sent out on Tuesday has reached their intended destinations.

Mr. Time Warner Man hasn't arrived yet.  I told the gal who booked the appointment to put me first on the list (they start at nine) because I leave at 11:30 sharp for Mr. Charles Fox' house.  They're supposed to call when he's on his way, which means he's not getting here before ten-thirty and eleven, and I told them that even if he's in the middle of something, I cannot push my leave time even five minutes.  My guess is that this schmo will call at eleven and I shall tell him to rebook.

In David's defense, that tune is extremely assymetrical and finding a decent rhyme scheme, especially with those short phrases right at the beginning, must have been difficult.  Still......   :P

The guy who wrote the iphone lyrics (and he's a technical writer) did a much better job, IMHO!

I have cats who do my shredding for me. They always fulfill their assignments!

bk, I shall miss meeting you in person, as I will be away when you are here in early August for casting.  But I imagine you'll be a bit busy then, anyway.    :P

And I know you'll be back.    :)

In Oz that would be a licence.
Yep we still distinguish between the verb and the noun as we do with practise and practice.

I didn't know that. Here in the US, people are trying to turn verbs into all manner of things.

Candy is dandy, but licker is quicker.

My eternal thanks to all you HHW'ers out there who made me aware of SLINGS & ARROWS!

Glad you liked it, Dan (the Man). I enjoy it quite a lot, too. My local video store, which specializes in cult and classic films, bought the first season, but it didn't do well. Rather sophisticated humor, I'd say. Perhaps best for those of us who have been in theatre or films. Does anyone know someone who really enjoys it but is also more mainstream? (Just curious.)

The fear of Friday the 13th is called paraskavedekatriaphobia.

But, as DR JRand56 has already indicated, there is no need to be fearful!

Apparently in Greece and Spain, Tuesday the 13th is the equivalent.

My strategy is to go to my local Stop & Shop [grocery store] very early that Saturday morning.  No lines and no kids.  :)  That's how I've purchased the last two volumes.

Mr. Time Warner Man got hung up on an earlier appointment.  Of course, there wasn't supposed to be an earlier appointment than mine, so one wonders just how stupid the schedulars are.

Mr. Time Warner Man has been rescheduled for tomorrow morning - first appointment.  We shall see.
