Thanks to the five people who ordered the CDs.  Gone are the glory days, I suppose.

I suspect you'll see a much larger reaction to Brent Barrett's Christmas album - or any vocal album - than to a [relatively] obscure film score.  Just a broader potential audience.

What a capital plan! Since I use Head & Shoulders, I guess they'll be dandruff-free as well?

Here, yes.  At Film Score Monthly Messageboard, the Delerue would disappear in an hour.  As for Barrett, you'd get a big "Who?"

Anya is a cast album and a good one that people really seem to want - until it's actually available :)

I think when the official announcement hits, Anya will do just fine.  I have no worries about Rio since it's basically sold out before it's ever announced.  I'll probably only have 100 or so to sell via Kritzerland, maybe 150, but I don't get many more soundtrack orders than that anyway.

I don't know that I have ever seen a Charlton Heston film.  Or a Clint Eastwood film.  Or that I could even tell the difference.     :-\

My favorite Clint acting-only movies are the Dollars trilogy and Dirty Harry.  Directing-wise, I'm rather fond of High Plains Drifter, The Outlaw Josey Wales, Unforgiven, and a few others.

With Anya due and the "secret" out soon, we're really getting down to just a handful of OCRs that I'd love to see on CD:

Donnybrook!
Good Old Bad Old Days (OLC)
Gone With the Wind (OLC)--yes, I'm a masochist

A Time for Singing

So, Bruce, you have your marching orders.  ;)

Trust me, JMK, you don't want DONNYBROOK on CD.  I gave it another chance a while back, when I had all my records transferred to CD.  Man, it's an almost unlistenable slog!

Well, maybe it's the mere presence of Susan Johnson, but, DONNYBROOK is one hand-made cd that gets a lot of play here.
I have hand-grown copies of the other ones, but, the one that has been getting a lot of play lately is A TIME FOR SINGING;  I have not attempted a listen at GONE WITH THE WIND yet. . .

If any DR would like a capsule round-up/wrap-up of the reviews for Guys & Dolls, NewYorkology provided a good breakdown.

I can't thank you all enough for the prayers, support and vibes for Sheena and I.  This guy is a first class JERK.

There is no way I can live in the house without any kind of water or electricty.

elmore, I don't want to do PRE preorders for it - that's just for you folks.  I'm hoping it will be up on the Kritzerland site by Friday or Monday next at the latest.  She actually has all she needs to get Anya up right now, so maybe I'll see if she wants to do that.

The optician just called to check on how I'm doing with my new glasses and she's concerned about my inability to use them at the computer.  I'm going in tomorrow morning for some diagnostics that may result in having the lenses remade.

Good, vibes it works!  Progressive lenses should work at the computer.  Before you go it might be helpful to measure the distance from your eyes to the computer.

I am encouraged by 2 things:  1) that I've had progressives before that were fine for computer use, and 2) that Debbie, the optician, is not satisfied for me to need a different pair of glasses to use the computer.  She's a pro.

I'm just hoping the two cast albums sell their 1000 copies - not a lot of profit in these and it would be nice for Kritzerland to actually have a little profit to go get other titles.
