Wednesday morning greetings!  I slept later than I should have and will have to postpone my blood test until tomorrow.  Soon I'll leave to do a couple of errands and to visit with my Mom.

Glad to hear that the storms were only a nuisance rather than a hindrance.

Mega-violent storms wracked the area through the night and swept over the house with great force. The lightning just sizzled for hours outside, while the thunder roared. The bird was very scared, so I had to calm him for awhile. Needless to say, not much sleep was had last night. Now, I need to find out what happened. There had been a tornado warning until 5 a.m.

We had the same storm up here in Austin.  Actually, it was a "tornado watch".

About 3:30 this morning, there was a marching band on my roof, and ever member had a bass drum.

Plenty of rain and lightning!

It continued until about eight this morning.

I've never seen anything like this in my 3 years in Texas.

It was like fireworks. And there supposedly was a tornado here. At least that's what they think destroyed one house here.

Elmore, did you read that bio of Sigmund Romberg that came out a few years ago? You could the same with Herbert, I'm sure. It was part of a musical theater series. I think Yale was the publisher. I'll check when I get home if you are interested.

This Friday is Cowboy Breakfast. More than 40,000 people will show up for free food and country music at too early of an hour. But it's always fun, even when it rains or sleets.

This weekend is also the first Cocktail Conference here, four days of drinking and thinking of drinking and drinking again. I also have to judge a wine competition all day Saturday. Sunday, I will likely be thoroughly besotted. (And I have to play bells at church that morning.)

Morning to all.

BK
Have you consider taking that chapter to a lawyer in case anything in it could be considered libelous? We don't want that to happen to you.

I have been very careful in that section - VERY careful.  Only facts are stated and only from my point of view - it's very clear - that last bit that could have ever been construed in some way as anything bad was removed last night and even that was truthful and observed by many.

There's only one person in the book who comes off really badly and it's not either of the people who owned the label.  And the person who comes off really badly really deserves it and again there is little editorializing, just what happened.

Jose, remember something I've learned--batons make excellent eye-pokers for intransigent string players (closest to the podium).  :)

Ah.....that made me think of a question.....for ASK BK day.

What are some of your favorite costumes that you wore in television and movies and onstage?  Was anything specifically designed for you, or was most of it purchases and fitted?

Most was off the rack stuff, and the stuff I liked of that I usually bought after the shoot.  The costumes that were designed for me specifically were in the show at the Taper, Forget-Me-Not Lane and those were great 40s duds and I loved them, and all my wardrobe on Dinah and her New Best Friends, as well as any specialty costumes on Donny and Marie.

While returning to work after my lunch break I had a very nice walk one day following James Farentino.

My quick replay buttons look really odd - I've got "post" and "preview" which are not centered, so I'm sure some other option has disappeared.

Thanks. After 3 1/2 inches of needed rain and all that celestial sturm und drang, I'm just glad it's over.

Continuing DR DOUG R's post.....

Why would you bring your children to Zumba class and not let them bring a book or a DVD or something to entertain them for an hour?  They will sit for 15 minutes at the most....and then they are up and running around....   Last night we had FOUR little girls who were most irritating....but they had NOTHING to do!!!

They didn't join in in the Zumba-ing?  That could've kept them busy and tired them out.

;)

I wondered about that, too!  I keep wanting to click on something to the left of the post button, but there's nothing there.
