Our greatest fear in this semi rural area is bushfires.
That's it - blame the Republicans >:(;D ;D
...a microwave oven and a coffeemaker (and nothing else) in a bathroom.
I have a friend who's ridiculously wealthy. Here's one example of how she deals with disruptions.
Minor renovations were underway in her home. So the only sensible thing to do was to move the family into a suite at the posh Prince Hotel. She told her daughter they'd be "camping out" for a month.
Did Danise have to evacuate? I thought her place in Florida was out of the danger zone this time.
Panni, I like the chocolate mint-not a favorite but I enjoy it once in awhile. My favorite See’s is the milk chocolate, chocolate cream. What is your favorite?
Remember the good old days when even the lowliest of assembly line workers took pride in a job well done?
Is Studs Terkel were to be researching "Working" now he would find such a different world. Must admit though I have not read any of his other books. With "Working" it is so easy to see the inspiration for the songs in the musical. I wish the show was more widely known and performed here in Australia.
Panni, once in awhile I get their marzipan-just don’t think the marzipan itself is all that good. I would rather have a scotchmallow. In Portland I went to a store that had marzipan between layers of an orange peel candy-yum.
What is candied orange peel?
...And I think it's a French delicacy, non?
Although it's extremely popular in Hungary.
Off to join Darby and the Little People. I'll report later on how they are.
I have on NPR which is broadcasting an Opera in English program. I now know why opera shouldn't be sung in English (unless it was written in English to begin with - Britten, for example). The reason it shouldn't be sung in English is that you can't understand what they're saying anyway, so it just becomes an exercise in frustration. If it's in Italian, you don't expect to understand it, so you can relax. Plus Italian or French or German sounds better. Carmen in English? Naw. Give me unintelligible pretty sounds with surtitles and I'm happy.Carmen does work in English, if it's Carmen Jones. But that's a special case.
François at first I as hurt that the chocolate page was only for Panni but guess what, I think you were right. Since I don’t speak French I can’t be sure about what is in those-beautiful or not. :)
Der Brucer drove up to Dover,
The only problem has been Fletcher, who several times has drained my water glass of water, thinking that I set it beside my bed just for him.
Ah.... it's all comestible stuff, you know!
Pretend it's like.... Opera! Just read the "surtitles" and indulge!
(I can't believe you throw away chocolates you don't like! :o
It's a CRIME! ;))
I have spent the day in bed. The cold I've been working my way through decided to pull out all the The only problem has been Fletcher, who several times has drained my water glass of water, thinking that I set it beside my bed just for him.
All the way to the White Cliffs?? ;DWrong Dover, Francois. The closest thing we have to cliffs here in Delaware are the curbs along the streets.
Which is why I prefer not to take something I might just trash, plus there is the food allergy thing. :)
Wrong Dover, Francois. The closest thing we have to cliffs here in Delaware are the curbs along the streets.
:-\
LOL-The reason the mugs of water we keep on our night tables have lids. We always thought the lids were just to keep the cats out-now I know better. ;D
SWW GOOD COLD VIBES AND GET WELL SOON!
Carmen does work in English, if it's Carmen Jones. But that's a special case.
Oh, bonsoir Mr TCB!

Jeannette is... beyond that!!
Do they congregate and become the Mike Curb Congregation?? :D
On November 7, 1970, MGM Records president (and future Republican lieutenant governor of California) Mike Curb dropped 18 artists from the company's roster, including such acts as Connie Francis, the Velvet Underground, the Cowsills, and the Mothers of Invention.
It's orange peel cut by Voltaire!

Awwww.....I was waiting for the film at eleven so that I could post my thoughts. . .
Who's gonna do the Page Six Dance with me?
Sorry, td! Didn't know you wanted to dance. I know a cake dance is a little strange. But for some reason, when I tried to post a dancing man, the cake kept coming up. So finally I decided to go with the flow and make it a "cake dance."
Horses whinny and donkeys bray and furthermore - the pygmy tribes in Africa may have a war!
Hey, there!!
I think I've heard that song before!! ;D
Forsooth! We could be The Three Musketeers!
I always thought that closets were for clothes!
We are not allowed to use the word "Champagne" in OZ for that bubbling French "type" wine. I think not in NZ either! I shall neverthless drink to you health mon ami.
