sorry didn't mean to shout
Yesterday I saw the 2 pm matinee of "Hello,Dolly." It was supposed to be Bette Midler's last performance but a couple of months ago it was announced that there would be an additional performance at 8 pm to benefit the Actors Fund. I enjoyed it a lot. I still think Gavin Creel is the standout, vocal-wise. I'm wondering how Bernadette Peters will be as Dolly. She starts next weekend, I believe.
Not a good night of sleep.
I am pleased to announce the publication of my latest one-woman stage play, IDA: The Last Lupino, which is available in both paperback and Kindle editions via Amazon.

Unlike all my other one-person stage plays, Ida Lupino was a actress that I knew. I met her and her then-husband, Howard Duff, when I was 14-years old and kept in contact with them both, off-and-on, for the remainder of their lives.
I’m quite proud of this one, my 10th one-person play.
Performance rights are available. Please contact me for details.
Carson being about Carson was okay because the whole chemistry of the show and the interaction with the guests was always top notch.
Merv Griffin, absolutely.
Also Mike Douglas, who I actually remember less than I do Griffin, but I know we liked watching him regularly back in the day.
Letterman, absolutely.
And one of my favorites, who I learned to appreciate way late in the game: Tom Snyder.
Vibes for Fred, Skip, and all tonight.
Vibes for DR FJL & Co.....and all those HHW'ers attending VIVA MAX! today! Have a good time!
I just heard from Dr Hertz's office and I am rescheduled for Jan. 31. Relief.

Many times I have taken four cats to the vet all by myself. Yes, I preferred it if I could time the visits so the boys could go with me or Keith, but usually it was just me.
Tell your sister to ask for assistance at the office and they should help her take the crates in and back out to her car.
I used my new Icon parking app to reserve a parking spot ( and pay for it)
There was a 20% discount for using the app. I found a place about a block away for $20
(After the discount)

Well, I got up and out of bed this morning in time to meet my niece to help her take two of her cats to the vet, but I couldn't remember if I was supposed to meet her at her house or at the vet's, so I went to her house, but my niece wasn't there because she had actually left five minutes earlier and took her cats to the vet's by herself, and it turns out that she didn't need my help even if I had gotten to the vet's in time, so I wasn't even needed and didn't need to get up too damned early on a day off! >:(

I don't recall if I ever met her, but I do have a lot of respect for her work.
When I was nine or ten, her TV show MR ADAMS AND EVE ended and the set was struck, along with the dressing rooms. In those days dressing rooms were simple things, not the air-conditioned trailers of today. The dressing room for MR ADAMS AND EVE was a duplex--Howard Duff had one side and Ida Lupino had the other. As it was getting tossed, my dad nabbed it and brought it home for me to play in.

Cheeseburger!!!
I had a delightful lunch with former DR Ben and his DH Anthony. We went to the usual place, Good Stuff Diner. They have a great, varied menu. Afterwards I went to their cozy apartment and saw their Christmas tree and decorations. I had a great time.

It felt good. vixmom, KevinH, and Jim Lehrer & family seemed to like it.
FROM YESTERDAY
DR TCB
I did receive it and I am so used to seeing you here as TCB I didn't make to connection.
AND VIXMOM
The same thing I am also totally brain dead. I forgot your real name going through the contributors.
I thank you both!!!!
I am glad that VIVA MAX went well tonight.
I’m glad your rehearsal went well, George.
I brought home the MP3 of one of the sound effects to try and make it louder. I did, but I couldn't make it as loud as I think it needs to be because it would get distorted. So, it'll have to do.
