I cooked a pleasant lightish meal of baked cod with mashed potatoes and spring greens.

I have not fully caught up with the posts, but I'll start with

Sorry to hear of the loss of Larry's friend. My sympathies.

Healthy kidney vibes to John G. Indeed, good health all around.

I hope JRand's dad is doing better, that Doug's broadband is behaving itself, that Laura's knee is all well now, and welcome home to Jane!

It was raining when I woke up. I enjoy the rain and would be happy to have more. It's already stopped and the sun came out. More rain is predicted for Monday, but that doesn't mean we'll get it.

BTW, Ginny, now that your Christmas decorations have been put away, do you think you could tell the church near me to stop the Christmas carols? ;D  I don't mean to be a grinch, but I do feel it's a bit late.

MEGA, MEGA VIBES to TCB, who has had to endure far more than any human should. (Not that it's OK for animals.)

Good to see Ben's response to DUCHESS OF DUKE STREET. I, too, loved it, and watched it many, many times.

DR Jane, you asked how i got an advanced e-copy of CATCH ME.  A goodfriends friend who knows I love Lisa Gardner recommended a site called netgalley. You have to have a blog, or review books, or be a librarian or sell books. Anyhow she said that she was approved for the book so told me to try it.  And i did.

I am reading it now. I'll let you know if it's good.

I suppose he was also wearing dark close?  Did he at least have a light on his bike & a helmet?

I don't know if he had a helmet on. He did have lights on the back of his bike. And he looked like a fairly good rider (he wasn't sliding at all). But it just made me feel sick. IT was so slushy and icy. No place for a bike.

Jennifer if I can get the preview for my Nook please email me how to do so.  Thanks.

What is this in reference to? Are you talking about a preview/first chapter of Catch Me?

On the kindle it was at the end of the 7th month e-novella.

Or for the kindle once a book comes out (which Catch me has not) we can go on amazon and ask for a sample (which is usually the first one or two chapters of any book). I am guessing you must have the same thing for the nook? But it would not be available for books not out yet.

I thought it might be something like that.  I'm 2nd on the waiting list when the library book arrives.  If my shoulder isn't better by then I think I'll pay for an eBook unless you think it isn't worth the money.  I hope you like it.  I read your rating for the short story on Goodreads.

I finessed, the wrote ten new pages.  Then I went to the bank, had a sandwich and fries, picked up one little package, and came back home.  I just wrote about twelve more pages.  I'll take a break now and I may just slog through as much as I feel comfortable writing later.  This happened with There's Mel - at the end I simply couldn't stop writing.  I think I did forty or fifty pages the final day.

I meant email me how to get the advanced copy if there was a way for me to do so.  Do you have to pay anything for the advance copy?

We were able to take Sherlock to the hiking trails today.  Just as we began walking the sun came out. :)

I don't know if I'll be able to drive my car on the road until Spring.  It is a good thing Keith & Craig have SUV's.
