Jose, I think you're reading your good fortune today too broadly.  It's not just that you should get out of your apartment more often.  It's that you should visit US more often - like maybe drop by for a visit on a rehearsal break this Sunday while Amy and the other brunch guests are here, probably from noon to 2:30 or so.

DR Michael S - RE: The Robber Bridegroom

Check out the following links:

IBDB - The Robber Bridegroom (1975)

IBDB - The Robber Bridegroom (1976)

Click on the "Songs in this Production" links.  -Which, alas, seem incomplete, but they may provide enough info for you.

And here's the link to MTI's Show Plot Page which lists the song in the synopsis:

The Robber Bridegroom - Plot & Synopsis

I couldn't find my CD (dammit!), but according to Amazon.com, these are the songs on the CD:

1. Once Upon the Natchez Trace
2. Suddenly the day looks sunny
3. Two Heads
4. Steal With Style
5. Rosamund's Dream
6. The Pricklepear Bloom
7. (Ain’t) Nothin' Up
8. Deeper in the Woods
9. (Marriage Is) Riches
10. Little Piece Of Sugarcane
11. Love Stolen
12. Poor Tied Up Darlin'
13. Mean as a snake
14. Sleepy Man
15. Where Oh Where Is My Baby Darlin’? / Pass Her Along / Wedding Ceremony / Finale
16. Company’s Comin’
17. There's The Way The People Blend
18. Gallop To Your Treasure Thy Wife
19. Grab Your Mate And Skedaddle All
20. You Got You A Suckling Pig
21. Poor Little Baby Darlin'

I got my Last Starfighter CD---just in time!

We were listening to it as we sorted the laundry. I don't remember the exact lyrics, but when the 2nd or 3rd song came on and the title character was singing about having to replace 30 year old wiring and fuses and such, my DH said "I like it already"! It probably seemed like "This Is Your Life" to him!

I am looking forward to giving it a good listen in my car tomorrow (where I do most of my listening!) but so far it's great!

Right now, brunch attendance is looking like seven people plus two corgis.  If the attendees could inform me of any dietary restrictions, that would be great.

Amy, just confirming, will your DH be coming to brunch?  Anyone else from your group?

Yes indeed, and he's really looking forward to it! Peter will probably be spending time with his family since he's been so busy this week.

Reviews are starting to come in--The New Republic has a nice one.

Any possibility of Vixmom or T-Punk and Rodzinski coming?

I only posted here on the board, but I'll try sending Private Messages to vixmom and TPunk & Rodzinski, in case they didn't see the postings.

Dog Bosco has been chewing on one of those pig hooves...he just came over and gave me a big lick on the face and he smells like a pork roast.

I sent TP and Rodz a card abou the film but I didn't have Vixmom's address.

Very importantly, is Toby on the left in your old avatar? I don't wish to offend them by not knowing who's who!

Toby was on the left and is the older of the two dogs.  BTW, Toby will bark (unthreateningly and with friendliness) until you get into the living room.  He will be a trifle loud, but the barking stops soon enough and morphs into a continuous search for the most likely guest to drop food, only to resume when the intercom rings again and the process starts again.

Meeting lasted a little under two hours - nothing definitive decided, but it looks like it will go the way I want it to.  More about it in the notes.

I have been using my spiffy new I-tunes device to get rid of a bunch of my old cd's that I only like one or two songs from so I can have room for new cd's

Anything that goes the way you want it too is good (in general)

FJL - I got behind in stuff, but I'll get to it by the end of this week.  Just trying to keep pace with the writing and the rehearsing and all, and listening to the CD requires me to actually sit down with a notepad for an hour - I'll do it, I promise.

TOTD:

I guess I don't choose to see many action movies.
For me:

The Indiana Jones movies
The LOTR movies
Pirates of the Caribbean movies

The great David Ian song

We learned the truth that seventeen
Is much too young to play a scene
So all our cast is thirty-five
Too old to do this flirty jive
