Before I head out for the day, I decided to go ahead and sync/backup my iPhone photos with iPhoto... Well... Apparently I've taken 1500+ photos over the course of my vacation so far... And there's still six days to go!

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I think today will be a "sugar day".

Isn't every day?

And...

It is my duty to once again report that the coffee that my hotel serves as part of their of complimentary continental breakfast is pretty damn good java!

What brand?  Is it Jeremiah's Pick by any chance?  Or Peet's?

Between the Andy Williams Show, the Dean Martin Show, the Tonight Show and Laugh-In (not to mention the Bob Hope and Jack Benny Specials), the NBC studios in beautiful downtown Burbank must have been a gas to work at during the mid to late 60's.

I'm up, I'm up.  Phone rang at eight-thirty, eight thirty-two and nine-thirty - I refused to answer and immediately fell back asleep each time until it rang at eleven.

From DR Jose:

And while I was driving by the S.F.F.D. station, I noticed that some of the firemen were polishing up their truck. And so did Monkey! In fact, Monkey wanted to lead a helping paw...

The thought of Monkey asking to take his photo with the fireman makes me chuckle.  I would love to see some of these conversations you and Monkey have with strangers.

I'm enjoying all the photos.

As for the actors matching the characters.  I think you can only warm up to them if they give you a good performance.  There are a few matches over the years I will never stop complaining about.

I think the actors in the Hunger Games movie are good. But it was hard at first for me to get used to the actor who played Peeta (he is quite short). He wasn't how i pictured the character. So even though he is a good actor it took me a while to warm up to him.

In the book he is much shorter than she is?  I looked up the actors and she is 5'9" while he is 5'7"

Did Andy Williams really sing Catch a Falling Star?  I know Perry Como did.  Are people thinking of Can't Get Used to Losing You?

He was a favorite in my family's TV viewing and album listening.  Catch a Falling Star.  The Mancini songs.  I remember one Christmas it was such a thrill when my parents gave us - not one, but a few of his albums.  They all got played to death on the Sears console stereo in short order.

I love Catch a Falling Star but isn't it Perry Como who made the song a big hit?

I thought the Plaids made it a hit.  ;)

I don't remember him singing it.  I must have missed that album. I'm not sure how these two songs can be confused-lol

I don't think that he is shorter than her in the book. But I don't think it's mentioned. But I just feel like the actor playing the part should be taller. I would have had him in running shoes that had a platform to make him appear taller.

I have so many books to read. But I just noticed that a book I've been looking forward to, by one of my favorite authors is available for me at the library. And it only came out last week!

I am going to move it to the front of my reading list!
