Talk about fast delivery:

Warner Archive had a one-day 5 for $50.00 sale, which I took advantage of.

The DVDs were shipped yesterday....AND ARRIVED TODAY!

I'm impressed.

Yes.  I would be impressed, too.  Sometimes Amazon will ship out of Seattle, and I will get my order the next day.  I am always shocked and surprised.

It's so great when that happens.

I was tempted, but had to sit this one out.  I've been spending like crazy.

Spreading it around like the Russians were in Jersey.

I was up at nice, awakened by a classic City of Studio rainfall - sun shining and lasting two and a half minutes.

Then I had two count them two visitors, and shortly I shall go have something to eat, do some banking and see if there's anything at the mail place.

I'm working away here at the Bucks of Star in Fremont.  I bet this won't be the first musical with music composed at a Starbucks, eh?

Druxy, I asked the other day if there was an audiobook of your one-woman play, LOMBARD.

I signed a contract for an audio version about 10 days ago.  The actress lives in Tacoma.  I'm hoping to get the first 15 minutes by the end of this month.  Then, I will give her notes, and we will continue.

The audio version of my Orson Welles play, however, is now complete and, unless ACX finds a technical problem, it should be up for sale in a week or two.

Incidentally, I'm still looking to cast audio versions my plays on Spencer Tracy, Clark Gable and Clara Bow.

If anybody has any suggestions....

Maybe actress isn't the correct word in this case.  Perhaps I should have said, the talent.

She gave an excellent audition, and I am looking forward to working with her.

I have a meeting at 10:15 in the morning and I need to get there earlier so that I can make sure that everyone who wants/needs to be there will be there.  And I'm still up and I have a freakin' meetin' at ten in the mornin'!  But now I must sleep.

Good night...anyone. 8)

Well, I made it to work with plenty of time to get ready for the meeting.  It was just more of an informational exchange.  One of our book vendors (a subsidiary of a family-owned business) was sold to another of our book vendors and the transition is happening now.  We loved the company that's being sold and although the company that bought it is good, the original company's customer service is much better than the buying company's customer service...they're not bad by any means, but they're just not as accommodating as the soon-to-be-no-longer-existing company's. ::)

Even late-night stalwart George has turned into a little WUSSBURGER.

I was working on union stuff after I got home from the show, which was pretty good...not great, but pretty good (I liked the production more than the show itself).  I had to check on some things and do some things and now I must go to bed.

What show did you see, George?

Capital Playhouse's production of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story.

DR TCB - I think DR GEORGE wrote that he was seeing BUDDY HOLLY THE MUSICAL last night.

I have never seen a production of the show, although I really like the cast CD and I bought a souvenir book of the show so I could look at the pictures.

Hi All,

I don't usually post, mostly because I don't really have anything to say worth hearing.  But today I think I'm going to make an exception.  Someone sent the link below to me, and I think that some of the folks here might be interested in seeing it.  Be forewarned:  the video is very difficult to watch, at least it was for me.  But those closest to her want people to see it, so I'm doing my small bit to get the word out.  It broke my heart to see it, so if you're not up to it, don't click on the link.
