Today's euphemism:  Bonus Coverage

That's what ABC Sports calls it when they leave a lopsided game (Michigan 38, Illinois 0) in the third quarter to cover another game.

I am shocked!    Oregon State and BYU are tied - Again!

That's the bonus coverage I'm supposed to want to watch more than I want to watch Michigan...

DR Cilla I've had caffeine withdrawal & it does cause headaches.  You have to go off of it slowly.

I just drank coffee.  :)

Can't get to the site?  What does that mean exactly?  Has the site been down?  It hasn't for me.

I have just had trouble a few times today of being bumped out when I post.  I don't know if it is the fault of the site or the fault of the typist.  I just know that it can be frustrating, but I keep trying, until it works.

Nastiest time of my life, perhaps. I slept 36 one weekend and had the worst headache for what little time I was awake. My staff told me if I ever went back on caffeine, they would quit. I apparently was not the charming self that I am otherwise. Or at least that I think I am.

Got to judge a mac and  cheese cook-off this afternoon. Quite different. But all the carbs are making me sleepy. I think I need a late afternoon nap.

About a week or so ago, I asked if anyone could help me with making this 5 Way dinner.  I bought the Cincinnati Chili, but I don't know what kind of cheese to use, what kind of beans to use, and I don't know if just use the spaghetti plain, or with butter, or with cheese, or what.  The onion I can figure out myself.

Anyone?

Here was one entry. A very strange entry. The chef made spaetzle, not macaroni. And that light licorice flavor from the chervil on top was all wrong. All wrong.

Shredded cheddar should work fine for the cheese, the finer or fancy shred is better.

They use kidney beans, as I recall. I really don't like beans in chili, so IMHO it ain't necessary. (I felt at home when I moved to Texas and discovered that real Texans don't put beans in their chili, either.)

Spaghetti is plain, just drained. I prefer the angel hair or thin, but i know you can use any kind of spaghetti you like.

The hot sauce is something I can't really remember. I know it's not really hot, but it adds to the overall dish.

Sounds like that song from the end of "Shenandoah." "I am ready, you can pass the cross to me."

Since I'm not supposed to have pasta, it was -- in its way.

I was going to post on Facebook that I was going to have a 5 Way this weekend, but decided against it.

I bought a new book for my Kindle today.  I have never heard of the book, I have never heard of the author, and I have read no reviews about it.  Still the name of the book was RETIREMENT CAN BE MURDER, so I figured it would appeal to me.

I read that Gary Collins has died.

How very sad.  Did we really need to know that he had a couple of DUI's?
