Well, you've read the notes, the notes had French and a Randy Vicar tale, and now it is time for you to post until the French Canadian cows come home.

Will it be possible to have an archive of the Broadway Radio Show?

I, too, am glad to hear about the update for the Radio Show and the site in general.

I really like Donald's show but it's such a pain in the arse to listen to (my loathing of Real Player as a piece of software knows no bounds) and also the fact that I have to go somewhere else to find it makes me miss many of the broadcasts.

I need to buckle down and start the last overdue paper from last semester. I'm glad I couldn't get my last semester started this fall, but I am enjoying the freedom from class too much.

Some swimmers can't seem to swim in a straight line and completely cross over the the swimmer on the "right side" opposite them.  I can't tell you how many times I have hugged the rope to avoid getting hit.  Then there are the fast swimmers, or at least fast at turning around when they get to the wall.  They don't seem to look if someone else in front of them is making the turn to go back.  They cross in front of me even though I'm on the right side & they are still on on left.

That is crazy that people might hit you. I've never heard of anything like that before. I would politely ask them to look where they are going.

Good morning, all.

I was so wiped out last night from having finished my silly taxes.  I should never take the extension because all I do is put it off again to the last minute and have to soil a perfectly good day or two in October.  And that is just wrong.

Ahhhh, coffee.

Well according to my nook facebook page you liked this along while back.  The title of the book is something else, maybe Conan Doyle, can't remember at the moment, and has an introduction about Doyle & the doctor who was the inspiration for Holmes.  I ordered it free off of you.

I was trying to understand what this meant. At first I thought you meant i liked the book on goodreads. But now I think that you mean that it was one of the free books on facebook (on one of the pages that lists free books everyday). That would make sense on how I could have liked it without knowing about this book.  Since facebook isn't giving people all their pages posts in their newsfeeds you are encouraged to like/comment on posts so more of those posts show up in your newsfeed. That must have been what happened. I "like" a lot of ebooks that do appear in my newsfeed so that i'll continue to get more posts about the books. :)

Speaking of bagels here there are two main kinds: poppy seeds and sesame seeds. When I was young I would only eat sesame seeded bagels. And now I totally prefer poppy seeds.

Watching Neptune's Daughter to see Red Skelton and Mel Blanc.....but unfortunately I also have to see and hear Betty Garrett....whose message I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN.

It has been said around these parts that she was a nice woman....I am glad to hear it.....

Watching her impression of a love-starved maiden singing "I Love Those Men" just about did me in.

I did watch the extra features on THE LUCY SHOW SIXTH AND FINAL SEASON set that arrived on Friday.

I like to see Lucy's out takes, although she can get very cross with others....including Gale Gordon - when they have to go back....

And after a few tries in a scene at the bank with Ralph Storey......and her own goofs.....she finally turns to audience and says:

"Boy, I'm having a hell of a time tonight, aren't I?"

Good morning, all!

I wish I'd received an important envelope yesterday! I'm down to around $20 in quarters and then it's destitutionuntil the invoice payment arrives (usually on Thursday) or Social Security lands in my account (hopefully on Wednesday). Tomorrow morning I can go ti the bank and file a claim on that $86 charge from Friday, although it may not land until Tuesday, which means a day's postponement of filing it.

So, I stayed in bed around 10:30, before I decided enough was enough, got out of bed, dressed and began the laundry. I will shortly make the bed and spend the day watching television.

DR ChasSmith, I listened to the complete TER recording of KISS ME KATE with Sir Thomas Allen and Diana Montague; I like a lot of the McGlinn recording, but it's at the office. One of the things I inherited from McGlinn was his full score for KISS ME KATE, and it was fun to follow it.

I am pleased to announce that my one-person stage play, ORSON WELLES, is now available as an audio book download, available on Amazon, iTunes and audible.com.

Edward French, who is absolutely amazing as Orson Welles, and I have adapted this play into a radio style drama, complete with sound effects and music.  If you are a fan or admirer of Orson Welles, I think you will be pleased, and you can get a free download of the production by visiting:

http://www.audible.com/pd?asin=B009P8KNYQ

Incidentally, acting and doing audio recordings is just a sideline for Ed French.  His day job is as a special effects make-up expert.  He has won an Emmy and has also been Oscar-nominated for his work in this field.

This is weird.  I think I bought that TER recording, but it's not where it should be on the shelf.  And I don't remember having actually listened to it.  Have to check a couple of storage boxes.
