No, I have no Halloween plans this year. No party invitations, and I just plan to watch TV as usual that evening. If it's mostly reruns, I'll pull out something spooky like ROSEMARY'S BABY.

My ask BK question:
Does Guy Haines have any plans to record another album? (If so, I nominated Randy Newman's song "I Miss You" for consideration...he did such a beautiful job with "Marie".)

From what I'm told, Mr. Haines is thinking about it -  maybe for next year.

How come it's okay for him to back track and change his mind- wasn't that behavior called fence sitting and being wishy washy in others...

Also, I am appalled by the Rush Limbaugh criticism of Michael J Fox. Appalled.

I think JRand was referring to the comment about absentee voting.

However, I know exactly what you are referring to....it was just a week ago he still insisted the U.S. would never withdraw troops from Iraq until the job was done.

Today....it's like, "What?  Huh?!!!"  Is he saying that he's prepared to bring those troops home soon?

Mark my words -- he's under severe pressure from the Republican Party to save this election -- and it's "dire straits" time.

My hope is that the U.S. voting public WON'T take him at his word -- make him DELIVER on his promises.  He needs some sort of legacy to mark his presidency...fulfilling ONE promise might do it.

My first question for ASK BK day:

Poseidon Adventure OR The Towering Inferno?  And why?

Sorry about your finser.

The Towering Inferno - better script, better music, better everything.

"Rosemary's Baby" is a good one.  "Carrie" is another.  But I was thinking along the lines of "The Exorcist" (unless Nickelodeon does a "Roseanne" Halloween Marathon!!!).

I got up early enough to attempt to jog, but I had so many e-mails and I had to respond and that ate up the jogging time as I have to do an errand before the casting session, which means no jog today, but definitely tomorrow - although, if I'm feeling adventurous, I could jog in the evening.

elmore, do your vocal arrangements - we only added a couple of things, and not to songs we discussed.

The Towering Inferno - better script, better music, better everything.

One small difference in my assessment -- Poseidon Adventure featured better acting, IMO.  No one in Towering Inferno came close to matching Hackman's performance in Poseidon.  And the combo of Astaire and Jones were no substitute for Shelley Winters and Frank Albertson.

DR Edisaurus and I are joking.

I suppose it helps if you know who Thomas Eakins and Noam Chomsky were/are.

I'm appalled that anyone gives Rush Limbaugh any attention at all.

I don't know if I agree with the selection, but the choices are very good.   8)

On the whole, I agree.

But Shelly Winters swimming underwater is oodles better than O. J. Simpson rescuing a kittycat any day.

But all O.J. managed to rescue was a single kittycat!

You'da think he could have rescued at least two!

The Towering Inferno - better script, better music, better everything.

......and for those of us who lived right by the corner of Gower and Carlos (one block north of Hollywood Blvd.) at the time of the movie, the thought of the Lake Hollywood  reservoir breaking and gushing down the hillside was just too too !!

Babes in Toyland? Who knew Victor Herbert had it in him!

BTW, did you know there is an "adult novelty" store called "Toys in Babeland"?

The first year of the project, I was given a "Toys in Babeland" gift certficate.  Never used it!
