Well, you've read the notes, the notes had only half a kit and caboodle, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they have a whole kit and caMOOdle.

Hi all!  It's 3:26 AM.  I went and got something to eat and then came back to room and crashed.  I think it was only about 7 or 8 when I laid down.

Lovely pictures, dear TCB!  I'm also glad that your friend, Stan is doing better.

DR td, I don't know if I'll have time for a visit but I'll try.  Can you send me the address of that mall we met at and when you'll be there?  I'm sorry but I don't have your phone number with me.  I don't know what time I'll be able to pop by but it will be sometime during the day.  I wouldn't want to try driving around after dark.  All those curves/hills are ok in the daytime but I wouldn't want to try it at night.

I had hoped to met up with Debi and the family but I didn't get any response to my emails that I was coming up.  I sent the time my flight would arrive so they know I'm here but they never said anything about meeting. I guess they already had plans and I don't want to be a bother.

Guess I'd better try to get some more sleep.

Laters all!  :)

Thinking of going Blu-ray? Hold on for the holidays.

The bad news is that the economy is in a tailspin. The good news is that it might result in plunging prices for consumer electronic products during the coming holiday shopping season, especially for Blu-ray disc players that show movies in high-definition. "There's talk of Blu-ray players hitting $200 pricing or even $149 for older models or less-known brands," said Ross Robin, analyst for NPD Group.

The $149ers probably won't have BD-live, an Internet hookup for downloadable games, IM chat and other online features designed for Blu-ray. But if you care only about watching movies in high-def on your HDTV, you can skip the newfangled online stuff.

AT $149 - I'm in!.

Count me in, too! :D Actually, I just bought "March of the Penguins" on Blu-ray at Costco yesterday for only $11.99 (plus tax)!  I don't have a Blu-ray player, yet but there's no reason I can't start getting titles, if they're inexpensive. :)

Topic of the Day:  Eggnog is good!  But I've never had "real" eggnog.  I don't know how it would be. :-\

YEARS ago (when I was in middle or high school), our family used to go to a restaurant just a few blocks from where we lived.  They had a build-your-own omelet and I would always get it with mozzarella cheese, bacon and pineapple.  It was so good.  I haven't had (or thought about) anything like that in years.

Educating Kimmel - Chapter 82

PHRASES

Quote
The words kit and caboodle have rather similar meanings.

A kit - is set of objects, as in a toolkit, or what a soldier would put in his kit-bag.

A caboodle (or boodle) - is an archaic term meaning group or collection, usually of people.

There are several phrases similar to the whole kit and caboodle, which is first recorded in that form in 1884. Most of them are of US origin and all the early citations are American. Caboodle was never in common use outside the USA and now has died out everywhere, apart from its use in this phrase.

Seriously, Skip makes a seriously great Croque Madame, which we had  a few days ago.

DR DANISE is up early.

I have had my PT CRUISER since 2005, and I like it very much.  Problems with the front wheel bearings - both had to be replaced - but it was under warranty at the time, so it was covered....

Monday morning greetings!  Before I leave for errands and lunch with a good friend, I'll put a double recipe of chili in the crockpot for tonight's dinner.  Another request from DH Richard.

Good morning, all! I'm off to Toyland and physical therapy. I finished the chart for Jo Loesser so now I'm back to my church job.

Last night I watched THE AMAZING RACE; since Nick is a friend, I don't find him evil but devious; as he keeps saying, he's playing a game.  I find the divorcees evil in their continued rudeness and pettiness.

After that I turned to Showtime on Demand and watched the first episode of Season 3 of BROTHERHOOD, which I'm happy to see back on the air.

DR Elmore - did I tell you that I'm on the waiting list for Cranford from my library?  I may be retired before my copy becomes available - but then I'll actually have time to watch it!

Good morning, DR KERRY.

I am completely satisfied with the outcome of TAR last night.  READ THE CLUE CARDS....whew.....

I think the top two teams from last night are becoming my favorites this season....

I am not a big fan of the incredible edible egg although have had to eat many through the years.  My favorite two egg dishes are deviled eggs (which I gave the basic recipe to DR Laura since there is no real recipe for the way I make them) and the eggs that one must put in potato salad.

Eggs are fine for cakes and French toast.
