Allergens are thick in the air this morning. And I'm doing two or three things outdoors today. Ugh.

There's still something here in my parents' house that I'm having an allergic reaction - or at least am irritated by. I'm guessing it's the plethora of air fresheners and other assorted scented thingamajigs my mom likes to keep around. But it's just a minor "inconvenience", annoyance, at least.

DR JOSE - there was no information posted about the origin of the G4 - but it has a dual processor and a 160 GB hard drive and a few other upgrades....plus built in wifi and wireless mouse & keyboard.   I will try it at home, but I was looking for an inexpensive one to take to the theatre this summer for use in the office or at the Stage Manager's table/backstage.

If it turns out to be REALLY good, I may keep it, but I probably won't....LOL.   The great computer that we have at the theatre now is upstairs locked in the business office, so it's not really accessible if people need to do a quick check on something - and I hate having the backstage littered with laptops.  Of course now people can use their phones and tablets to do the same thing....so we shall see.

DR JRand - Well, if it has the dual processor and a 160 GB hard drive, it sounds like it's from the later "period" of the G4 desktops. That's good.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Just remember: It ain't Windows. ;)

And now I need to get ready to run a few errands, and then it's off to the theatre for today's two shows.

Great closing weekend to Jose!

I must hear more about room service at the Skyline.  Can't imagine what a Manhattan resident would be doing ordering room service at a Manhattan ho... oh, wait!

I'm up - I must have really needed to sleep, so I guess that's good but I'm now way behind so I'd better start finessing, jogging, and doing.

Nope, it's 58 beautiful January degrees here in New York City.

We just got back from Joe Fresh where I bought a new pair of corduroy pants, Academy CDs where we bought nothing and Staples where I got a new shredder with the $50 gift card from my office. It was on sale and I got a $10 gift card for purchasing the shredder. I just submitted the paperwork on line.

Larry, sorry you're feeling poorly. It would be nice to see you again to break bread. Get well vibes to you.

What was the point of dubbing Debbie Reynolds in a movie (SINGING IN THE RAIN) about studios dubbing actors in films?

Cilla, I am reading the book, but I am reading it in the Kindle version which I also ordered before I was told that they wouldn't cancel the paperback version.

Good point!

Call me stupid but I always thought it was Peter O'Toole's voice in Man of la Mancha - it sounded so much like him. I also thought it was Leslie Caron singing in Gigi.

I may be in a minority but I really dislike Sam Pekinpah's films.

You have to break the bread?  Why, did elmore bake it?

I wish they had made a musical starring Deborah Kerr, Natalie Wood, and Audrey Hepburn.  Poor Marni would be in a home after that one.

Not sure if this is supposed to be a joke.   ???  KILLER ELITE is a new film with Jason Statham, Robert De Niro and Clive Owen.

I believe it is THE KILLER ELITE that is the Pekinpah film.
