Does anyone here ever eat pickles when also eating spaghetti?

I learned the other night that my aunt and uncle like having pickles with their spaghetti.

We were going to have them over for a spaghetti lunch or supper, but I don't want to see any pickles on the table.

It's a local dairy egg nog, freshened with Brandy, Rum, and Bourbon and garnished with freshly ground nutmeg.

(I haven't any Meyers rum, so I used Captain Morgan Spiced)

Merry Christmas everyone. I am at my parents and there is just a dial-up connection. Nothing wrong with that, but I am used to high speed so this is driving me crazy. So, I'm not going to try to catch up with all the posts. I'll have to do that later.

Tonight was really fun. We went to some friends - our families have been spending Christmas Eve to gether for years. We gathered around the piano and sang Christmas Carols, had some great food and great conversation. It was a perfect Christmas Eve.

Yep and with Lasagna and any other tomato sauced pasta dish.

It's a hold over from my Naval Academy days when the chef always placed a stainless steel tub of PB on the table every evening (to aid those who cared not for the main course).

Same chef that got me used to having vanilla ice cream on my morning cereal.

And since I enjoy caviar, anchovies, raw oysters, scrapple, and grits (not together) - I get a lot of "yucks" :)

Scott, although he is not one of my favorite actors.  I also love Albert Finney in the role; but, in all fairness, I am better in the role.  But then I got to sing all the songs that were added for Anthony Newley.

My favorite is 1954s SHOWER OF STARS televersion titled A CHRISTMAS CAROL with Fredric March as Scrooge,  Basil Rathbone as Marley's ghost and Sally Fraser as the Ghost of Christmas past.

Bonnie Franklin had a role as one of the Cratchit kids.
