The Gal With the Bimbo Blinds is going to be the title of my next novel.

OK, OK, that's not the exact quote, but it sounds a lot more interesting.   8)

Pogue did Mosby the Grey Ghost fly in the passenger section of the plane?

Krogers, brings back fond memories of Michigan.

It's almost ten-thirty in the evening.

Time to fix dinner.

 :o

(I didn't get off work until 9:30 PM, if that counts for an excuse.   ::))

The stuffed dog is upsetting Keith-she looks too much like Echo.  Odd how two people have such a different reaction.  She makes me happy.

I dig Tomovoz's bear set-up.

Under are tree are a lot of Stitches. TPunk is a big Lilo and Stitch fan.

And an electric train.

Reminds me of the line "Don't get saucy with me, Bernaise" - from Mel Brooks' History of the World Part I.

George - I did own a copy of the film at one point.

But I think it accidentally got thrown out when we got rid of most of the VHS videos.

The calibration touch-up went just fine, and I also solved a couple of other set-up problems that have been needling me for weeks.

We then watched WHITE CHRISTMAS in glorious Technicolor (a SILK STOCKINGS reference).

I didn't get to SUNSET BLVD. today as I had planned. Let other, shorter programs deter me. Maybe tomorrow.

May have to save CINDERELLA MAN for another day.

A friend loaned me a movie called WHITE NOISE. I know nothing about it, but he assured me it was suspense without a lot of gore, so I guess I need to watch that so I can get it back to him.

That may have to take precedence over CINDERELLA MAN.

Hi all!

I was trying to ketchup when I saw the John Spencer news... ouch, that hurts.  :(

Well, I'm finally off for the holidays, so I can come visit more often now!  Just wanted to stop in and say hey... I'll try to do more ketching up and then come back to hang out.

A SONG IS BORN  is coming on TCM....another Danny Kaye film that I like.  And I will be reviewing two of my FAVORITE films for the upcoming Scarlet Street.

It is very exciting to write about films I REALLY REALLY like - even if it is only 300 words for each!

I also like parts of STAGESTRUCK, but Susan Strasberg's performance is such a surprising and humiliating failure....and that English woman is grating beyond belief!!!

I think it would make some sort of Twilight Zone episode....the numbers of BK's address....if used as the numbers of his telephone.....call the ticket office of the THEATRE where his new play is being produced!!!

There are NO coincidences!  And to think, he was considering another venue!!

Good news from DR RLP that he has arrived at his destination.

Lovely pics of BEARS from DR TOMovOZ.....

As for Dynastud - I think I saw this video advertised, but could not afford it at the time -

No one is ever alone, DR Francois!

I just finished watching OKLAHOMA, a musical that for some reason or other I have never seen. I enjoyed it. It was certainly MUCH more entertaining (IMHO) then CAROUSEL.

However, it still has not made me a fan of Shirley Jones.

On the other hand I thought Gloria Graham stole the movie! She was a riot!

And what is not to like about Gordon MacRae...he just makes me swoon.

Thank you DR Elmore3003, for the DVD!

BK, sorry to hear about your food poisoning episode... I had it from some bad guacamole while on the road in Abilene, TX, and had to ride the bus for 6 hours the next day... and then when we got to the next stop, there was no drinkable water anywhere.  I had to get a ride 30 minutes to Walgreen's to get bottled water and saltines.  And do two shows.  Ugh.

It ain't pretty.  Glad you're feeling better!
