Well, you've read the notes, the notes were designed and ran, and now it is time for you to post until the designer cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: EBULLIENT!
-
First post after BK!
-
BK, I hope we can see some photos of the new abode.
-
It is late and I am tired.
-
Good night, BK.
-
Good night, George.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
Good morning to all
-
I am pleased to announce that the audio edition of my play, LOMBARD, is now available for download at audible.com., Amazon and iTunes. Kathleen Godwin delivers a moving performance as Carole Lombard in this production of my original stage play, which has been enhanced with music and sound effects.

Good morning, all!
-
At some point today I will go down to City Center. I wait for Joshie to tell me what time is good.
-
It's too warm. I did not sleep well last night
-
Good morning, all.
-
It certainly was warm last night. I kept the heat off all day yesterday and through the night, which was perfect. A little cool in the house this morning, so it’s on for a little while to take the chill off. I think it gets cold again tonight.
-
And that is today’s weather report.
-
Coffee!

TOD
Hardly anything all week. I did watch the beautiful new Arrow release of John Carpenter’s THE THING the other night. Actually, I guess it was Carpenter Week because I’d also seen his VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED a couple of days earlier. Though nothing will ever match the John Wyndham novel and the original film, I’m one of the six people who really enjoy his version.
-
Good morning.
-
Good morning.
-
How did I miss John Carpenter’s Village of the Damned?
-
TOD:
Season Two of The Durrells in Corfu has arrived. If I have time I’ll watch the episodes I haven’t seen yet.
-
Started listening to the second disc of that Cole Porter set. Great stuff from Peggy Lee, Dinah Washington and even Frank Sinatra. The comes Harry Lanin with a track called Anything Goes. It’s actually an 8-minute medley with Just on Time, I Could Have Danced All Night, a lot of Rodgers and Hammerstein and, oh yeah, one chorus of Anything Goes.
-
Lester Lanin the Society Bandleader who played at the engagement party for Grace Kelly and Prince Ranier way back when......
-
Continued rehearsal and moving vibes for MR BK.
Will she of the Evil Eye be moving with you?
-
This morning, the bread attracted around 6-8 pigeons to the fire escape. I thought Annabelle would die from ecstasy. She went crazy, flipping on her back and rolling around the window sill, then hopping up to run from window to window to watch the birds. She's never dull.
-
In about an hour I will head for City Center. I know she will be pissed that I am going out.
-
T.O.D.
No idea.
-
I'm up, I'm up and have been up since nine. Did an event page for Levi. Then the helper's husband came by and the book room is now shorn of all its bookcases. He's meeting Grant at the new house and all the shelves there will be put in THAT book room. Then I'll figure out if I want any other shelves anywhere else in the house. We'd planned for some in the bedroom but I'm not at all sure I want any there.
-
I am back from City Center.
I lost the orange kitten. The agency tells me he was adopted ages ago and they do not know why his photo is still up. I appear to be the Typhoid Mary of cat adoptions.
-
Two!
-
Where is everyone today?
-
We had a work picnic in the mist and rain with Costco pizza.
-
I learned that Oreos don’t survive humidity.
-
I need a nap.
-
It was snowing in Tumwater! It's pretty much stopped for now, so I don't know if it'll come back anytime soon, but here's the evidence!

Oh, no! Hopefully, you'll get another cat quickly!

Friday afternoon greetings! I am back from a delightful afternoon at the Dayton Art Institute with my friend Sue. We had lunch and then spent time in the special exhibit Alphonse Mucha: Master of Art Nouveau (http://www.daytonartinstitute.org/event/art/exhibitions/current-exhibitions/alphonse-mucha-master-art-nouveau). We then moved 4 boxes of holiday bazaar donations from her car to mine and went our separate ways. Tomorrow I'll deliver her donations to the bazaar venue after Richard and I attend the Kiwanis pancake breakfast.

:D
-
DR TCB did you get tickets for Blithe Spirit?

I learned that Oreos don’t survive humidity.
;D

No.

Beautiful.

Decided to go out tonight and support a couple of friends by seeing the opening of a local production of Noises Off.
-
For Sondheim and marching band fans. I don’t think the music works perfectly but that could be the taping. It might sound better live.

Well, that's kinda cool. :)

And so is this...the complete TV series of Angie (https://www.visualentertainment.tv/collections/new-release/products/angie) is available for purchase. I don't know how long it's been available, but I think it's the first time that I've heard about it.
And it's only $29.95 (plus shipping, I'm sure).
-
I just noticed that it says, "Shipping September 1st." I wonder if that's September 2017...not that it matters.
-
Well, I must be off. I'm going with Margo to Portland to see her daughter perform in a one-woman show! I think we're supposed to eat when we get there, but I'm hungry now, so I'll get me something to tide me over. I don't know what time the show starts or how long it'll last, so I'm not expecting to get back anytime soon, but I'll get back eventually.
Until later!
-
Gratuitous Post #50!
;)
-
DR George, where did you end up eating?
-
The past two days have just been brutal
-
I came home yesterday. Ordered pizza and was asleep by 10
-
Enjoy your weekend. I would tell you to relax if I thought you would listen.
-
We are about to watch an epusode of THE CROWN, 2nd to the last episode of season 1.
-
Where is everyone today?
Tucson, trying to teach high schoolers about butterflies.
-
Elmore, maybe you should wait for another adoption event, so you can meet the kitties and see which one clicks with you. Then you know it will be available.
-
I am sorry I dosed off again
-
Dozed
-
My mom arranged for us ( she and I) to go on a trip with the library tomorrow
-
We have to be at the library by 7 am
-
I have no idea where we're going
-
Except it's somewhere in Pennsylvania
-
And I have no idea what we're doing
-
But I know I'm having chicken pot pie for lunch
-
Apparently it was that or flounder
-
And I am not a fish fan
-
I was never a Phish fan either
-
Although I've heard they're quite good
-
I never listened to Hot Tuna either
-
Although I just discovered they will be playing at venue just a few miles from here on December 9th
-
I didn't have any idea that Hot Tuna was still around
-
I hope you have a nice day tomorrow, Vixmom. You don't know how to sit and relax, do you?
-
Elmore, maybe you should wait for another adoption event, so you can meet the kitties and see which one clicks with you. Then you know it will be available.
An excellent suggestion.
-
Apparently Phish is still around as well
-
They'll be at Madison Square Garden on December 28th
-
I do like Meatloaf
-
But apparently he had no upcoming concert dates
-
I also like meatloaf
-
But it has to be my meatloaf... A beefy meatloaf
-
I don't like tomatoey meatloaf
-
Any meatloaf recipes that add ketchup in any way , shape or form is a no go in my book
-
And I am also opposed to wrapping it in bacon
-
Not that I have anything against bacon
-
I like Kevin Bacon
-
Page THREE??? Really?
-
Had and his brother are quite nice singers as well
-
Crazy day - bookcases moved but not put in the new house because wires were crossed, which is annoying - so they're in the garage of the new house. And I can't do any more about anything until after the Kritzerland show.
-
The Bacon Brothers do not appear to have any upcoming tour dates right now either
-
What is a designer run anyway?
-
I don't believe I ever heard the term before
-
Page THREE??? Really?
You are mistaken , Sir.
-
As you can see we are on page Four
-
Or as they say in Rome
-
IV
-
I wonder how Romans would pronounce IV
-
I should find out in case I ever go to Rome
-
Because when in Rome....
-
Actually I don't know what you're supposed to do when you're in Rome because no one ever finishes the phrase
-
They just say when in Rome..... And look at you meaningfully
-
Like you're supposed to know
-
So if course you nod sagely and smile slyly
-
Meanwhile thinking when in Rome... What?!
-
Try the bolganese?
-
Watch your wallet?
-
Bring a sweater?
-
Tip the waiter?
-
Kiss the bellboy?
-
See an opera ?
-
Buy some nice shoes?
-
I mean it could mean almost anything
-
And there I am sagely nodding and slyly smiling and totally clueless
-
Of course that probably sums up 3/4 of my life right there
-
I wonder what everyone else is doing while I'm spilling drivel everywhere
-
Drivel spill on page 4
-
Reminds me of my days working at the supermarket
-
Now that was a job I hated
-
Standing there behind the register
-
Back then there was No scanning and computerized cash registers
-
You had to read the price tags and push the buttons
-
And figure out the change yourself
-
And there was no paper or plastic... Just brown paper bags
-
Designer run is a run-through for the designers to see what the show is, staging-wise.
-
Brown Paper Tickets are not selling tickets for Phish or Hot Tuna
-
Designer run is a run-through for the designers to see what the show is, staging-wise.
Set, stage, costume and lighting designers?
-
Oh, I blithered and blathered all the way to page 5 without even noticing
-
I like blither and blather, Vixmom. Guilty of spreading it around myself.
-
I was driving home tonight under a gorgeous full moon. I was in the middle lane of a newly paved road that was literally pitch black. I was within the 45 mph speed limit but it still seemed fast, especially when I noticed that very shortly ahead of me and in my lane was someone in black clothes walking toward me. I had to swerve to miss him.
Then when I got to the corner that turns into my neighborhood, I started to turn (and I had the light) when I noticed a very tall, old man with an enormous walking stick start to walk into my path.
What is with people?
-
Started watching The Loves of Carmen. Rita Hayworth is fun, Glenn Ford is too wimpy.
-
But I'm fading fast. Will have to finish it tomorrow.
-
Good night, all.
-
Actually I don't know what you're supposed to do when you're in Rome because no one ever finishes the phrase
😅

I really get mad when they walk their black dogs on the road and all you can see is the person until almost the last minute.
-
Good evening.
-
I don't know who I am speaking to.
-
I am the only one here.
-
I have been watching PRESENT LAUGHTER.
-
Kevin Kline was great.
-
I didn't like all of the cast.
-
PRESENT LAUGHTER was one of my favorite productions.
-
I got some of the best reviews of my life.
-
We had a gorgeous Art Deco set. It was a knockout. We even had an all-white baby grand.
-
Wow! That has been over thirty years ago.
-
They had snow in Seattle today.
-
We may all get snow tomorrow night.
-
It certainly is cold enough to snow.
-
When in Rome.......
Do as the Romans do.
-
Tumwater also had snow. I guess we missed out.
-
That is what happened all last winter.
-
Page 6
-
Seattle would get snow, Olympia would get snow, even ten miles away in Lakewood they would get snow;but at my house NOTHING.
-
My friend Betzy lives two miles away from me. Last winter she got several inches of snow, I did not have a single flake.
-
Not that I am bitter.
