THE PLAY READING
« on: May 02, 2006, 12:12:16 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, we read the play, and now everyone has read something, so now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're reading a new play right now, and then they'll be on their way.

                 ***HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FJL!***

I just got home from a very long evening of judging student films. Interesting. But around four and a half hours....

TOD - Mildred Natwick and  "Cuddles" Sakall, to begin with. What a cute couple they would've made! More character actors in the morning. They don't make them like they used to, that's for sure.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DR FJL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning, all!  After Fred's simple unaffected mentions of his natal day on Sunday, it would be a shame if we forgot it!

I'm about ready to make the trip to Toyland this morning, with a stop at the NYPL Theatre Collection planned this afternoon.  Beyond that, I will wait to see what fresh hell the day brings.

Good night!

TOD:
Ruth McDevitt
Dorothy Neumann
Edna Mae Oliver
Madge Blake
Ned Sparks
Eric Blore
Nigel Bruce
...just to name a few....

And I don't think it is so much that they don't make 'em like that any more...IMHOP it is that they don't write roles for those types of character actors any more...nor do they get hired.

Good morning!

Beautiful morning and the last of the days with moderate temperatures. We start really heating up tomorrow with temps going into the 80s for the rest of the week at least.
