Thanks Matt & Ron I won't rush out and look in the CD stores! Australia's first winner is now on some disc out there - I don't watch as the whole idea is "so manipulative". I checked out the Leif Garret site on the NET and have immediatley forgotten who the Family Affair kids were. I didn't forget Brian Keith though!

Leif Garrett's sister Dawn Lyn played the repulsive Dodie, the young adopted daughter on MY THREE SONS when Steve Douglas married Barbara!

DR Ron --

Well, you have thrown me into an absolute grammatical conundrum.......and have re-read my original post (about Stanley Kramer's attire) so many times that it indeed doesn't make sense at all. SOOOO,  let me state it, hopefully, a much better way:

In all of the many times that I saw Mr. Stanley Kramer eating lunch at the Bown Derby, he was never wearing a torn T-shirt, grubby jeans, or sandals.  He was a very striking dresser, and also a very handsome man with beautifully groomed salt & pepper hair.

Whew......I hope that's better!  I'd hate to flunk English I here at the Univ. of HHW .

Oh, I don't know, DR MG.....I thought the Bown Derby was just down the street from Gauman's Chinese Theater or at least across the street from the Moulin Rug.

Do you pronounce that "derby" or "darby"? I think brown is OK. I am glad it was not gray/grey.

Knowing people who worked on both, I can state that Avenue Q was around a long time before Greg the Bunny.  In fact, I saw this charming musical at the York in 1999 and have been going on and on about it ever since.

The U.S. Congress votes for The Golden Globes?  I knew they did something... I'll have to call Mr. Rangel and ask him Why Pia?

Amazingly, I'll be playing both shows Saturday night at Chicago City Limits.  And they tell me the theatre's on First Avenue, across the street from Bed Bath & Beyond.  I told them when last I was there, there was no Bed Bath & Beyond.

www.WeddingMusical.com should be ready to accept credit card orders any day now.

And the word "derby" is not used in Australia except as a horse race. Ah! "The Brown Horse Race".

I need to get a life. A chance to mix up my Sondheim quotes "does anyone still wear a bowler hat". (Company/Pacific Overtures). I could not remember what term we used for Derby in OZ. I had to consult my Reader's Digest Reverse Dictionary.

I still have ninety minutes of viewing for homework, but I do think I've already seen some of the footage so I'm hoping that it won't take more than forty-five minutes.

Noel--Yeah, I do recall reading that Avenue Q had something of a lengthy gestation period.  Sometimes shows and movies with similar ideas behind them are just developed around the same time...synchronocity, I guess.  i.e.  The Wild Parties and those two movies coming out about the First Daughters starring Mandy Moore and Katie Holmes.  Even though Avenue Q and Greg the Bunny did have different concepts, just more of a similar spirit.

Good vibes, Em!

Something I must remember...even if the cute black boots look REALLY good with the outfit, do NOT wear them on a day you have to stand at a cash register for three hours.  My feet are angry with me...

DR Ann - I feel your pain.  After MANY years in retail - I learned several hours on your feet is not the best try-out for a pair of shoes, boots, or sandals!   :'(

DR Tom, I guess I'm just not really a Hedy fan. I can't say that I've seen every movie she made, but the three or four I have seen I didn't think she did anything in them but look beautiful.

Sadly, I have often received that same criticism.

So you did star in the title role for "Hello Dolly". Fagin the Beautiful has a nice sound.

My email has just gone "off the air". We have had so much stormy weather. My cell phone will not register anything either. I am almost all alone in the world. At least this contact is still here. A sleepless night last night - electrical storms and the worst flooding in Melbourne in a century. (I live in the hills and at least they are still alive with the  sound of..).

It seems as though we've been on page six for hours and hours.  Whatever Happened to Page Seven?  Whatever Happened to Paige O'Hara?  Whatever Happened to Neely O'Hara?  Whatever Happened to Scarlett O'Hara and Catherine O'Hara and Maureen O'Hara?

I dislike Page Six, as I dislike all mean-spirited gossip columns, so I post in the hopes that I can push us onto Page Seven.
