Quartermaine's Term is an astonishing creation.  At intermission, it felt like a frothy comedy with a little depth, but the second act deepens and deepens like nobody's business. 

Interesting that you can do this so well with a play, at least with a playwright of this caliber, but a musical could never be able to withstand such a tone shift

In that case, wouldn't a wireless doorbell work better?

Yes, but I didn't know that it would only dong until I installed the wired one.  As long as I can tell when someone is at the door, I really don't care for now.  

Well I suppose if you have to choose between having a ding or a dong.....
