Larry, I also am baffled by not only actors, but anyone marring their flesh with these huge unattractive tatoos.  There are a lot of twenty-somethings who when their forty-something are going to be embarrassed by tatoos sagging and heading south on their bods.  They'll always be a reminder to them of their stupidity.  I like flesh too much to see it pierced, painted, or implanted.  It just ain't natural.

I'm geting nervous about the walking/eating tour. I shall have farina at every stop and the Vixter will be banned from eating anything at all!  ;D

 :-*

Hehe...I don't care what you eat on the walking tour. I plan to eat plenty of stuff. As long as you have some common courtesy (i.e. - chewing with your mouth closed and not talking with a full mouth) everything will be fine.

She's now eating some sort of oatmeal/granola bar. Does she ever STOP eating?!? I don't eat HALF as much as she does and somehow I'm bigger than she is...

Hey! If I can get some comps to the Met in the next couple of weeks, you wanna go? Anything in particular you'd like to see? I'm curious about ARIADNE AUF NAXOS, but my heart isn't set on it...

Let me know.

There really isn't that much to tally.  The big question I was concerned about was about food allergies.  Just good to be aware just in case we happen to stop at a place where all the ingredients in a particular food may not be visible or listed.

Jose, if anything has nuts in it and I can't find out what they are I simply pass.  I have other food allergies but they aren't dangerous.

These kids today, I tell you...

I hate when they wear the low jeans with the short tops so you can see the tattoo just above their ASS.  That gives me GAS, and I think I'll PASS.

Bruce- ;D

Fortunately the methods to remove tattoos are improving.  My dermatologist has a notice up regarding free removal of gang tattoos.  I think that is nice.

That happened at our house several years ago - right before Christmas.  The kitchen makeover was my present that year.

DISCUSSION about last night's DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES.

DR Jason, sorry I meant maybe the guy locked up was the black woman's husband (sorry what are her and her son's character's names?).

And yes I loved when Bree went into the open grave.  You just knew she was going to do it! :)

DR Ben went. He bought a Florence Henderson CD.

They sell alot of Playbills, window cards and show merchandise at the Flea Market. Some with autographs - some without. I think they've been known to sell set and costume pieces, too, but I couldn't say for sure.

DR Ben - I'd read about Silk Stockings and considered trying for next Monday, but decided to remain available for Splash instead.  Have you heard anything about Walking Down Broadway?

Is "Splash[/url]" being made into a musical??  I guess if they can do "The Little Mermaid" anything is possible! ;)

I read Brown's ANGELS & DEMONS first, and though I thought it was a corking good yarn for the first half, my eyes started to roll back in my head at all the forced contrivances past the halfway point, so I'm giving the DA VINCI CODE a pass. I'll see the Tom Hanks movie, of course.

Add me to the chorus of folks who don't understand the fascination with tattoos. I'd never want one for myself, and I usually find them a turnoff on others.

Nice present Ginny.  I guess this is for both of us.  Keith wanted a new design and I wanted new cabinets.  We both wanted new counter tops & floors.  I really think it will be terrific when we are done.  If we are very, very luck that will happen before Christmas or by the end of the year.  I’m not keeping my hopes up even though we are very organized.  I think we have found a very nice and conscientious group of people to do the work.  So far we are right and they are even playing classical music. :)

My friend John went to see the tour of LITTLE SHOP on its last night here in Charlotte. He liked it, but he said the theater was not well attended.

I watched Jean Renoir's "The River" yesterday.

Wonderful movie, gorgeously photographed in Technicolor by Claude Renoir.

It is a terrific look at a British family living and working in India in 1951.

As I mentioned earlier, I did go the the BCEFA Flea Market. I go to see friends, I don't go to buy much. I will buy a few things as a donation (I also spend time in December as a Volunteer) but so much of the stuff is so far out of my price range, and frankly, it's stuff I don't want. What am I going to do with a set piece from Wicked (or other similar things). I don't need autographed scripts or old Playbills from shows I never saw. This is NOT to belittle those who choose to buy these items, PLEASE DO NOT TAKE OFFENSE at my comments. It's just that I was in the business for a long time and even though I appreciate meeting stars and have a few autographs, buying most theatrical ephemera from shows in which I wasn't involved doesn't get my juices flowing. I would rather see a show and discuss it with friends instead of buying a used script. Also, the layout of the fair, IMHO, gets a little crowded and the older I get, the less I like crowds. It was very crowded from the time it opened (at 10am). I stayed for about 90 minutes, some of that time spent talking to friends. It's a very positive experience and I greatly appreciate all the work BCEFA does (the organization has helped many friends of mine over the years) so I don't want to make it sound unpleasant, it's just not a theatre highlight for me. I'm not a curmudgeon, even though the above post makes me sound like one  :D
