Well, you've read the notes, the notes were not broken like the dining table, and now it is time for you to post until the broken cows come home.

Hi, Ben!

I'll be back in NY this week for more bloodletting...errr...editing but won't have any social time. Waaah....
If we finish early, I might be able to sneak in a show, so I may call and ask for your advice!

I am supposed to hear from the Car Man this morning.  He called last night and said he couldn't find anything wrong with my machine....but asked if he could look at it first thing this morning....and I said yes.  So we shall see.  Hopefully, he still won't be able to find anything wrong.  Time Will Tell.

Feeling better vibes to DR MISS KAREN.

Shocking table adventure for MR BK.

Our table failure story was slightly different.  My brother Kent was sitting on a small television table we had gotten from our grandparents when a leg broke.  Unfortunately said table was at the top of the stairs....so it was a ride for life for Kent down the steps on what was left of the table.  Very exciting!

I am starting a project today......scanning some old newspaper articles and other items that I have collected over the years, so that I can throw away some stuff.

Might be scary.  But saving it all to files and then to disc will be an adventure, and it will accomplish something with technology!

Last night I watched more discs sent to me by DR MBARNUM.

I watched the rest of SEA HUNT....and then from MGM HD - Hercules and the Barbarians.....which had too much of The Barbarians and not enough of Mr Fancy Pants Mark Forest as Hercules, suddenly transferred to 13th century Poland.

And then THE GERTRUDE BERG SHOW.....whew....some attractive co-stars....but Miss Berg's bizarre dress necklines drove me crazy, and her telephone routine ... oy!

Sorry to hear about your table, BK.

As I recall, it was a rather attractive piece of furniture.

re: flu shots

Did everywhere in the US do regular flu shots in september and H1N1 in december?  Here we had H1N1 in november and they are starting the regular flu shots now.

The weird thing is that I don't think very many people are going to get the shot now. For H1N1 there were so many people getting sick. And it was crazy to try to get the shot (huge line-ups).

Now there is almost no publicity for the shots and hardly anyone there getting them (they are free if you fall into certain categories).

re: BK's table breaking

I'm curious, when someone breaks your table what is the etiquette.  Do they simply feel horribly guilty or do they offer to pay for part of it?

I'm actually enjoying the AMERICAN IDOL auditions. I've seen a lot of people who I really like.

Although I don't think i'm really looking forward to ellen.  I really hope that she adds something to the show.  My fear is that she won't know anything about singing and be like she was when she judged on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE.

Wednesday morning greetings!  The volunteer administrators are meeting today, but the forecast of freezing rain is keeping me home.  I have plenty to do here.

Good morning, all! I've got another NYPL day today and I need to book the reservations for DC next week. I have lots of things to research on the newspapers online sites today.

JRand, I had the same thought about HERCULES AND THE BARBARIANS. Even though I love Ken Clark, that really wasn't a good look for him. LOL!

Good Morning, Siouxland Aging is cancelled today. Does that mean we are forever young or do we just not age today?

Good morning!

Sort of overcast here, and we're supposed to get rain tonight, but it's still mild for January which made the walk this morning pure pleasure.

My work project today is the second of the Rossellini films in the box set: PAISAN, a film I've never seen. There don't apear to be as many bonus features on this one, but I won't actually know until I put the disc in the player.

I will be late coming back to the site this afternoon. At 4, I'm supposed to take part in a roundtable interview with director Jonathan Mostow about SURROGATES. The last time I tried to take part in one of these things, my computer wasn't powerful enough to connect. I have a new computer (last August), and I'm hoping for the best. So, all my work this afternoon on PAISAN is going to have to start about half an hour earlier in order to get up to the computer and log on in time for the interview.

I've never seen THE GREAT IMPOSTER, but I'll keep my eye out for it to turn up on one of the channels I get that might show it.
