My luncheon date is all set for tomorrow with my friend Rodney Gilfry.  Tonight BK, tomorrow Rodney.  I'm going to write a book, DINING WITH CELEBRITIES.  I'll tell Rodney to expect an interview request in 30 years, DR  MBarnum!

Is he heading back to NYC for the day?  He's currently down here in WNO's production of Nicholas Maw's Sophie's Choice - which I may try to see on Friday.

SOPHIE'S CHOICE isn't a musical is it?

It's an opera.  It premiered two years ago in England to some not so wonderful reviews.  Washington National Opera is presenting the American premiere of the opera, and it's been revised since it's original presentation across the pond.  And, at least from what the critics are saying, the revisions were all for the better.

Well, time for me to check back in at the theatre before tonight's show... And then I think I'm gonna venture out for a bit since it's such a nice night weather-wise.

Laters...

Good afternoon to dear Esteemed BK, and to the H/Ks who might be here.

I just wanterd to pop in for a minute, say a hello to all and sundried, and let you know that I have to be gone for the next 2 days (without computer access).

I have to go over to L.A. to finish up the editing and assembly on a new CD project.  And, of course, you BK are all the way back east, and so there can be no DuPar's, no House of Pies, and no Crackerjack Shrimp.  Life can be pretty unfair!

Save the voice BK, and have a great time with Last Starfighter this Friday.

Back from the dinner with the panda author.  Her big news is that the book is being made into a movie, starring Nicole Kidman.  Dinner was a lovely Chinese buffet, but I'm wondering if something on it contained MSG - to which I'm allergic.  If I develop a sick headache soon, we'll know.

Dessert was a generous scoop of rainbow sherbet with a fortune cookie on the side.  Here's my fortune:

"A vacation of vacations is waiting for you."

Pretty appropriate, huh?

And, now, we learn that DR Vixmom will be in for the Thursday mini-tour with DR Jose - YAY!

Back from the dinner with the panda author.
I didn't even know pandas could write! I'll have to check that out!

We have our own panda news here in Atlanta...ours had a baby---a girl! Yay!

I've been sneaking into the zoo occasionally to see them since we know the panda specialist. Greg went over to China and filmed the pair before they came to Atlanta. He got to hold hands with them when they were still little and playful and made cute little puppy noises. Awwwww....nothing cuter than a panda. Except for Sherlock, that is!

No more holding of hands now!

Good Evening!

So... After going over my schedule for the next couple of days, and going down my list of things I need to get done before I head to Mexico, I think I'm just gonna head back to NYC on Sunday, and then stay through Thursday night.  Alas, that means I won't be able to join the gang at Joe Allen's on Saturday night.  However, there is chance that I may be able to head up Saturday afternoon, so... We shall see.

Hmm... Right now, weather.com says it's supposed to be in the upper 60's and "mostly cloudy".  That could work.  I'll be sure to come up with a "rain plan" just in case.  So...  Remember: Everyone bring your umbrellas so that it won't rain!

...And I'm actually thinking of doing a 5th Avenue tour this time round.  Well, at least start at Rockefeller Center - like we did last year - but work our way north towards Central Park.

Watched another GREY'S ANATOMY episode. Well, actually, an episode and a half. The full episode dealt with the fallout from Meredith and George's tryst and the welcome return of Denny Duquette.

BONES had an interesting episode about a bigamist with a surprising murderer.

Also we see Agent Seely Booth does not lack for female companionship. Of course, the one woman some fans would want him to be with is the one he is NOT with. But I'm sure the writers will work up to that provided the show continues to run.

JUSTICE had an interesting face-off: Victor Gaber against John Benjamin Hickey. Good dramatic tension there. I'm guessing in real life that the guys are great friends from years of doing shows in NYC during the same periods of time. In the show, they were rivals and mortal enemy litigators.

I believe that pic is from the premiere production of Andre Previn's opera, A Streetcar Named Desire at Chicago Lyric.  He played Stanley Kowalski.

*It's available on CD - and DVD, I think.

PROJECT RUNWAY:

Well, no spoilers, but I must say that the finalists going to Fashion Week were not really a surprise. I had a feeling all day today that these finalists were going to be the ones chosen. I wasn't wrong.
