Thank you Jennifer.

I forgot to respond re: your cadbury easter creme egg comment.

What is the difference between the US vs English versions. I didn't even know there was more than one kind. So I obviously have no idea which ones i've been eating.

Well, if there was, there isn't a difference, anymore...Cadbury was just purchased by Kraft Foods:

The acquisition of the 186-year-old Cadbury will make Kraft the world's biggest chocolate and confectionery producer by revenue, through the addition of brands including Dairy Milk, Creme Egg and Green & Black's.

Old news.  <puff, puff>

;)

Of course, you know and I know, but I didn't know if Jennifer knew.

Three churches in Mooresville are having an Easter Sunday sunrise service.....at 10:30 a.m.

I'm singing, thank G*D, at the 10:45am service, not the 7:30 Sunrise Service. . .which actually IS a sunrise service.

Tell DW Betsy to give you a great big hug.  You're great, DR JMK!

A great lesbian!

Not as great as Dusty, however.  ;)

I see that CILLALIZ  got into one of her ambitious moods and power-washed all the sidewalks in Sioux City. Good for you, Cillla!

LOL, as I was walking down the street today, I thought that City Hall could use a powerwashing.  i won't do it though.

T.O.D.

Back in the 70s and 80s there was a disc jockey on Seattle's KOMO-Radio by the name of Larry Nelson.  Larry was an institution on Seattle radio for over 30 years.  Part of his morning show included traffic reports from the KOMO ariplane piloted by Ted Potter.  One April 1, Ted Potter broke in with a special report that Vashon Island in Puget Sound had broken free and was floating north towards Seattle.  This went on and on between Ted and Larry for about an hour.  People were actaully freaking out and started calling 911, City Hall, members of Congress, etc.  I laughed my head off at some people's stupidity, but Larry and Ted almost got fired over the whole thing.

Funny :)

A local news radio station today announced that the Arizona State Legislature overnight passed a bill that would change the school schedule to children with the last names A-L would go to school Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; M-Z would go to school Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and that the school day would be 10 hours long and that school would go year-round. Teachers would now work those 60 hours per week without additional pay. Some people were very upset.

A FB friend posted something similar at her son's school.  The teachers passed at info for next year's schedule, verbally telling the kids school would be all year round.  Since most the students didn't look at the paperwork until they got home, they believed it. ;D

Today was beautiful, 86 degrees.. It's been in the 80s all week, but tomorrow is going to be much cooler and rainy.  I asked Edith if she wanted time off on Good Friday, or I said we could go this afternoon and work tomorrow.  She opted for this afternoon.  I got the entire back yard raked. I am very sore, but got all my outdoor projects done this week. So let it rain this weekend,

I went to a reception for a retirement at the courthouse.  As I left the roads were all blocked off with police cars.  I asked what was going on and was told they think there is a bomb under a car....no April Fools joke.  I went home. I guess it was all resolved

I've never heard of Green & Black's.  What are they (he asked without bothering to look it up himself on the inner-web ;))?

Here's the story.  I was leaving right at 2:30, before the building was evacuated.  It's too bad,. It was the beginning of a two hour reception for a woman who has done a remarkable job for 20 years.  She deserved better than an evacuation

Thanks, Jose!  They look really good!  And according to their website, the local Fred Meyer has them.  I guess I'll check it out. :D

I didn't really feel like hiking & bouncing my arm today.  Instead we went to Costco to use $8 worth of coupons about to expire, for products we need.  Forgetting the holiday weekend I didn't expect such a crowd.

I picked up two paperbacks, one purchased mainly for its small size.  I think these will hold me until I can get to the library.

Greetings from Lima's lovely west side!  Fr. Richard conducted a fitting Maundy Thursday mass, after which we had supper at Bob Evans with the Sr. Warden and his family.  We are now tucked into our home-away-from-home and hoping that my sister and her husband are likewise in our home.

So, I'm going to go now.  I'll stop at Fred Meyer and try one (some ;)) of the Green and Black's chocolate bars.

Until later!
