DR Jose, my friend Mustafa was in NYC this last several days, unbeknownst to me. He was assisting the National Guard Captain he worked with in Iraq, on an interpreting project.

If I had known of this beforehand I would have had him get in touch with you so that you could show him the sights during his downtime. He did a lot of walking around Time's Square and the rest of Manhattan. He loved it!

Well, if I had met up with Mustafa, you would probably hate me now. ;)

Thank you for the beautiful autumn leaves photo, Vixmom. We don't  have those in the desert.

Yesterday when we drove to the Grand Canyon, we drove through the high elevation where we have yellow aspen leaves in the fall. The trees were bare.

Back from a very pleasant long jog to find a message from the helper saying no help today - tomorrow, but, you know, tomorrow's a little too late to get 500 names entered before I do my eBlast for the new Kritzerland title.

Can't you just import/export or copy and paste the list from your previous e-blast?  And if you're using the same software that you've used before, those settings should already be saved in your account.  -Now, if you're adding some new email addresses, well... If they're in your address book, you could just export those out - which is very easy do with Apple's "Contacts" - then import those into your e-blast client.

I hope this will not be construed as political speech, but I for one am sick of the incorrect and obviously pejorative use by certain Right Wing nutcases of the noun "Democrat" as an adjective.  Therefore I have coined my own new term that I would love everyone to start using:  RepubliCON.

I'd construe it as such but I've been biting my tongue ever since a tempest in a teapot several weeks ago.

I'm tired of being told that I'm unAmerican because I don't live in a small town and have a conservative mentality.

And while the nurse continues her work here, I believe I'm gonna head out for a bit of fresh air and a walk and maybe some shopping.  Oh, and lunch would be good too.

They've officially canceled the World Series game for tonight and will hold it tomorrow night.  It prolly wont start until 9:00 after The Barack Obama Show (with guest stars Tim Conway and Eydie Gorme?)

Also, there were some snowflake flying amongst the rain drops a little while ago here in Philly.  My sister told me it was out and out snowing in Doylestown.  Uh-oh...

Nice photos.  Now I need to get out for my own nature experience.  I can't believe how late it is, plus I need to do a bunch of errands.  Keith is working very hard picking up leaves.

Hello all.  I must leave soon, I am meeting one of my children's parents at our local community college.  She joined a choir for the first time and is really struggling, so I said I'd come coach her a bit.

To BK:  I finally figured out why I had A Fine Romance going through my head all day yesterday.  "Yesterday's Mashed Potatoes" Thank you, I rather enjoy that song and it has put me in the mood for some Fred and Ginger.

Be back later.

DR DB, Keith would say if feels like one at a time, only in a dust bowl.  One of my errands is to sharpen the blades that will stop the dust bowl problem on the riding mower.

Quick question before I leave.  What is the worst reaction you have had to a flu shot?

I had severe flu like symptoms two years in a row, followed by the flu.  That was way back in elementary school and since then a live virus is no longer used & supposedly I won't have the same reaction.  Even though I don't completely trust this theory I'm going to try the vaccination again since it is the only way to find out.

That's not correct, BK, especially since you use PayPal.  PayPal makes printing labels quite easy, and you can extract everyone who's paid for a certain item and print their labels just like that.  I've done it before.
