Dinner today is roast chicken with roast potatoes, peas and sprouts . I hope everyone (other than Jane) approves.

I approve. And I'm a vegetarian.

Thank you, DRs John G, Jane, and Jeanne!  I slept for a couple of hours, Richard brought fried chicken home for a late lunch, and I'm feeling some better.

I'm having trouble with the site. This has happened before. When I click on QUOTE, the reply box has not cleared my previous reply. ??

I envy Der Brucer and Woody their new fish and chips eatery. I've looked for a good one here in LA, but so far have been unsuccessful.  There was a small (4 tables) Dublin f&c place in Alexandria, VA that I used to frequent.

Palm/Passion Sunday was fine.  We had a colt in the procession.  Trying to organize a procession is like trying to herd sheep.  It was crazy, but better than last year.  Still, so hard to do ritual when most of the people aren't "with" you.  Ah well, when you come to church to be "seen", worship usually takes a back seat.

I've spent the last part of my afternoon packing the vocal scores for shipment. Tomorrow morning I will run to the post office and ship them off.

I have to think about dinner now.

I look forward to the reports on tonight's show.

Hmmmmmm.....we only have green at the top of the page.  And those are the drop down tabs.   Are you seeing green someplace else on the page?

There are red cutains first, but then this green panel comes down; and that is  when the green  makes it impossible to see.

Hmmmm.....I must be sending the wrong link.....no red curtains on our site.....  I see curtains for a second now....hmmm....do you see a green panel just above the photo strip?  That's the only place it's supposed to be.....then black text in white below that.

Goodreads sent me an email this morning informing me DR Jennifer has marked............
"as to-read: Album Produced By... by Bruce Kimmel
bookshelves: to-read"

That's funny. Why would goodreads email you that?  I noticed that the book is on goodreads giveaway. But for US only.

I'm always receiving updates on what you read.  If I tracked my books I expect you would receive updates on me.  Do you want me to track them & see what happens?

No, you must have your goodreads account set to receive what your "friends" read. I do not ever receive updates so i don't think it would matter. Or i would be getting emails every hour. The only way i can see what my friends are reading is to go into the friends section and look.

There is probably something you ticked that said you wanted to be notified.

Thanks for the explanation.  Since only you & DR td are my friends I don't receive too many emails from Goodreads.

Okay then that is not too bad. But imagine if you had 1000 "friends" and got an email each time. :)

That would not be good.  I get enough with whatever box I must have checked. ;D  What I receive is a mix of what you are reading, reviewing & plan to read.  I usually give the emails a quick glance or save them to check out the books at a later time.

Now this what "Pipe Dream" should sound like. I listened to the original cast twice and I had the voices of all three leads. This is much better.

der Brucer

Looks good. I love fish and chips but don't eat enough of it these days.

I almost missed these nice photos.

Jane would approve of three out of four.

Yes, but if you are talking about brussel sprouts they need to be roasted. ;)

In the late Sixties, we had a lot of fish and chip places open in the Northwest.  Of course. Ivar's chain of restaurants had been a huge part of the Seattle restaurant scene since the early 50s.  But we first got Arthur Treacher's, then H. Salt Esquire, and then severeal  more than I can't remember right now.  Except for Ivar's, they have all closed

Help!

I tried to sign in to Facebook on my smart phone, but it temporarily blocked my account and then sent me an e-mail saying that someone had tried to log in to my account.  When I went into Facebook to say that it was oklay to allow me on the other device, it said the account was accessed from Overland park, Kansas and not Tacoma.  Why wuold that be?

Did I miss something?  Did we know in advance that JEWS AND BASEBALL: AN AMERICAN LOVE STORY was going to be shown on PBS?
