Sunday matinee (April 10) is what I've pencilled in...

I will post the link to BBC 2 so you can listen to the show if you are so inclined. It's a half-hour segment and will be on the BBC Web site until next Friday at 2pm Eastern Standard Time. It's great to hear the recordings again. I have two records which have not yet been transferred to CD. They are high on the list.

Not enough bad weather to call a snow day yet. Gotta go back to work.

So how many posts do I need before I'm not a Newbie anymore?

You need 50....and at the time you wrote the above, you had 41.

Well, it was a really good day until the subject of homework came up. I'm taking a break from struggling through fifty pages of my Rhetorics textbook. If you want to know the truth, I don't even know what rhetoric is. Maybe by the end of the semester I'll have some idea.

In my CD player is my Michael Buble album. I walked into my room a couple days ago and found my DFBML (Dear Furry Brown Meowing Lump) lounging on my futon listening to Michael Buble singing. DC Tumbly (or Lloyd, as he likes to call himself) is in there now listening to himself snoring even though he's awake. I have truly talented pets.

Dear Friend BK, when I left the store, I was never notified of a single event although invitations used to be sent out via guests lists the author/publisher provided.  Whenever I'd stop back in the shop, I was told by the owners that I never came around enough, and I wanted to say "you could invite me to an event, ya know."

You should have told them to put you on their mailing list. :D

During the audience sing-along, Sister Robert Ann and I duet on "Hark, the Herald Angels." Amazed I look so calm. It was my trickiest harmony in the show.

The pic that DR JMK posted reminded of Evangeline Lily (sp?) who plays Kate (the pretty fugitive girl) on LOST. She was on the Ellen Degeneres show and she was talking about how many accidents she'd been in (driving).  She said she was a terrible driver.  But she was laughing about it.  She said she'd never hit another car (which i suppose is good). But she hit a person, and i suppose other things on the road like poles.  Well Ellen had her get in a mini car and back up.  And she hit everything in sight!

She said that she only passed her driving test cause her instructor thought she was cute!

Now, if you were her, wouldn't you take more lessons or something.  I hope I would.

LOL-I think.  I would hope I would, that or never drive.

Here's where the Reverand Mother throws me off the stage during "The Nutcracker," and I do a grand leap in defiance. I sneak back on later in the scene.

Here's the last moment in the show. Sister Hubert has brought down the house with "It's Better to Give," and we're shouting, "Ten Feet Tall!"

Thank you, DR Cillaliz. Seeing the pics again really makes me nostalgic for the show, and I'd love to do it again some day.

Jane - Did DRelmore tell you that he directed a community theater production of The Fantasticks lifetimes ago here in Middletown?  I played The Mute (you won't hear that character on the recording ;)) and I liked the song "They Were You" so much that Richard and I used it as part of the pre-ceremony music at our wedding.  The organist was playing it just as many of our community theater friends were taking their seats.

Ginny a mute is the only role I could play in a musical. :( ;D

I unfortunately have never seen the FANTASTICKS but it has one of my all time favorite songs, SOON IT’S GONNA RAIN.

Thanks, DRs Jane and Ginny. Yes, I had a ball. I've said it before, but I'll say it again: the three best times I've had on stage were during the runs of AND THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND, FOREVER PLAID, and NUNCRACKERS.

They're all three revues, so you get to do lots of different things, and all three are real crowd-pleasers, so that does A LOT for the ego.

Jed will you be checking on Ann and let us know how she is?

She should be returning home in about an hour or so.  I suspect that she'll probably poke her head in here at some point tonight (hopefully while still a bit loopy on the drugs, so as to provide us with entertaining reading ;)).  If she doesn't, I'll get an update for all y'all.

I got through QUEER EYE and AMERICAN IDOL - Round 2 auditions this afternoon.

I was quite put off that Simon let his ego get bruised enough by the good looking "cruise ship" singer to turn him down. He had enough talent to go through to the nextg round.

Of course, he didn't help his case by having such a superior attitude. I think it might be wiser to go in humble and come out cocky IF you make it.
