They're finally done!!   The anamorphic widescreen (but not hi-def) version of South Pacific from PBS have been received by me from my sister's boyfriend and I have made copies of the non-anamorphic (4:3) widescreen South Pacific and TCB's episode of "High School Stories" and am ready to send everything to everybody!

For those who specified the anamorphic widescreen SP, I'm actually going to include the non-anamorphic (4:3) widescreen on a standard DVD-R because the anamorphic widescreen version is on a dual-layer DVD+R.  It doesn't play in my DVD player, but does on my computer and my DVD burner.  So, in case others are in the same situation, I want to make sure that you can at least watch it in some form.  So, here's the list of who wanted what:

Arnold M. Brockman - SP (both versions)
BK - HSS
Cillaliz - SP (both versions) & HSS
Edisaurus - SP (both versions)
Elmore - HSS
FJL - HSS
Ginny - HSS
Jeanne - SP (standard)
JMK - SP (both versions) & HSS
John G. - SP (standard) & HSS
JRand - SP (both versions)
MBarnum - HSS
Sam - HSS
TCB - SP (both versions) & HSS (6 copies)
Vixmom - SP (standard) & HSS

Matthew - SP (?) I have a question mark by your name.  I don't know if you specifically requested a copy or if I just thought you might, but please let me know either way.

I made extra copies anyway, so whether you want it or not, it's not a problem.

So...is everything correct?  Any changes?  Additions?  Deletions?  Just let me know.  It'll never be too late.  I can make more copies or it's not a problem if I have extras left over.

Book Club Ladies:

Have you read "Ellen Foster" written by Kaye Gibbons?

It is a very quick read only 126 pages - buy heart rending, uplifting and thought provoking

I've written about the book before - one of my favorites.  A wonderfully written, simple, and beautiful book.

If we bring the Gardenia series to NY it wouldn't be before March - dear reader Julie is supposed to be looking into a venue that might be good for it.

Good Evening!

I went to see The Hold Steady at The Beacon Theatre earlier tonight. -I won the tickets via a Twitter/Foursquare promotion a few months ago.  I had never heard of The Hold Steady before, and I really wasn't sure what to expect...

What an Amazing show!  At the end of the show, the lead singer, Craig Finn, thanked the crowd for coming, and exclaimed, "There is so much JOY!".  -And there was!

My favorite lyric of the evening - which also happens to be from the title song of their latest album:

Heaven is whenever we can get together
Sit down on your floor
And listen to your records

-Those were and are great times!

Back from a piece of coconut cream pie and a good work session with Mr. David Wechter.  Listening to our new master - sounds great, and a fantastic score.  I've begun watching the near three-hour film so I can write my liner notes tomorrow.
