MISS KAREN, did you see my post about a week ago about HUSTLE (British mini-series)?

I did not (I'm very sporadic -- often E and T and then on forever, like today), but I will have to check it out.

MISS KAREN, did you see my post about a week ago about HUSTLE (British mini-series)? Given your/our sense of humor, I really do think you'd enjoy it. In the last episode of Season 2, the crown jewels are stolen. Right up your alley, I'd say. Have you noticed how many references you make to jewels? :)

Of course! With Cason in the family she has to be obsessed with jewels!
(Now, if THAT ain't a compliment!!... ;))

Hot-diggity-dog, DR Jeanne, ain't you something?!  Or more formally, "By Jove, I've think you've got it!The brain (both the musical and my actual reference to the cranium) is really amazing. Taking bits, pieces, slivers of things -- and then in your dreams putting them together in some wild montage.  Sparkly, twinkly Julie becomes Juls (Jewels) -- makes sense to me!

I suggest you start a venture with DR JRand -- "The Great JRand and Madame J's Dream-0-Matic Hotline -- The First Minute Free!"

Well, I had been trying to think of some good business ideas...

So...

Has anyone given any thought to the gathering(s) that will take place on September 30?

I'm guessing there might be a dinner that night between Such Good Friends and The Brain from Planet X.

And I'm guessing there might be some sort of soiree after The Brain from Planet X - which may or may not combine with the closing night festivities for the show.  -And when does The Brain have to strike and load out?  That night?  or the next morning?

Just wondrin', plannin'.

I believe we're going to luck out and be able to strike on the 1st, since there's no show that day.  And yes, we will have some sort of soiree somewhere for our closing night and you're all invited.  Of course, there's always the chance, I suppose, that we might get asked to extend for a performance or two - not sure what I'd do about that, given that I have an early morning flight home on October 1st, and a fundraiser to put together in short order.  And other than our showtimes, I'm completely available for whatever fun stuff people want to do.

Back from various and sundried divings about in my motor car.  I went to Amoeba to kill time but time wasn't there, so I got a CD instead.  I still have the ability to be intrigued by an album cover, and am I glad I was - I was in the Brazilian section looking for CDs of Sylvia Telles, and I just happened to see a CD by a group called BR6, that said Jobim and Gershwin.  So, I looked at the track list, but the thing that really caught my eye was the line that said it was an acapella album, and that despite what you think you may hear, nothing other than the voices of BR6 appear on the album.  Well, I got into the car and put it on and the first track, a combo of a Jobim song and Rhapsody In Blue, was absolute genius.  You'd think you were hearing percussion and bass, but no, it's all human voices doing amazing things in amazing arrangements and I absolutely love this album.

I'm the only one in the jernt?  You'd think it was a Saturday afternoon or something.  Perhaps I'll try to rustle up a trivia question.

Meantime, the BR6 album, for those who are adventurous:
