I'm still a bit shocked by the news of Jane's injury.  I will say a special prayer for her tonight.

I love all the Muppets, watched them every weekend.  Really good quality time spent with the kid.

He's fine - just very confused, and misses his mother...

I just emailed Keith.  Thanks (I guess) for the news Penny.  If any emergency help is needed, we could be down there in 3 hours or so.

So far, nothing to be done but wait and hope for the best. Keith is a rock.

Kelsey Grammer Is in Talks for ‘La Cage aux Folles’

Have the Weisslers signed on as co-producers ::)

I wasn't sure we needed another revival so soon after the Daniel Davis production. Now I'm sure we don't.

We do not need another revival. This is simply preposterous. Now watch: it will be a huge hit.

1) I have some friends who really, really liked the Donmar Warehouse production which is being brought stateside. -And, apparently, Harvey Fierstein liked it a lot better then the recent Broadway revival.

2) As for Kelsey Grammer, well... I've heard the tapes from his Sweeney Todd in L.A. that he did with Christine Baranski - in fact, it was Ms. Baranski who "shared" those tapes with me - and, well... Umm... The word "pitchy" comes to mind. :-\

I am so breathing easier right now.  Now if I could just get these other labels to ease the hell up on their release schedules - I've told them all in no uncertain terms that if they keep going down this road they will kill it for everyone.  This week alone we had two major two CD sets announced by Intrada, FSM began taking preorders for a 15 CD box set of Rozsa music (at $180 a pop), and this Friday LaLaLand is announcing not one, not two, but THREE limited editions.  The latter is just blind, stupid gluttony and there is NO excuse for it.  I let my big online dealer know about my announcement for next week and HE informed me that there was the possibility of two more FSM "regular" titles being announced.  I went ballistic, needless to say and said that was insanity in light of the 15 CD set - he agreed to try and push the FSM announcement until after ours - I hope he sticks to it, because people don't have this kind of dough and we all suffer - things that even six months ago were selling out in a day or two are now taking weeks, sometimes months to sell out - that's what this gluttony has done.

bk - Is it possible that the plethora of new releases is "simply" related to the upcoming holiday season? November and December are traditionally "heavy" months for book publishers (too).

In other news...

I decided to spend the rest of my lottery winnings on some wine and cheese at Casellula a couple of hours ago.  As always, the staff took very good care of me and friend, Bradley. In fact, they ended up comping at least one component of our meal - an extra cheese, a "sample" entree, a new dessert, a glass (or two) of port... Needless to say, it was a very nice meal.  :)

I wish that were the case, but this glut has been slowly happening since June and has just reached epic proportions.  The fact is, December will be relatively light for the other labels.

Took a hot shower and am now listening to CDs.  Still overly full from my 3:30 mac and cheese.

Well, I'm going to do something that I haven't done in a long time...I'm going to go to bed before 2:00 am!  I think I only got about four hours of sleep last night (this morning) and I need to sleep.  So I am now going to bed.

Good night, all. :)
