Everyone who didn't post an answer yesterday has to name their favorite Disney film.

Both "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Hunchback of Notre Dame"...because of the musical scores. :)

It was DS Zach's birthday yesterday, so I was E&T.

My sister emailed me asking if I had our parents' marriage certificate, as she was applying for British citizenship (our Dad was born in England).  I told her I didn't, but asked her what was going on, and she is contemplating moving back there (she lived outside of London for many years) if the US continues its wave toward radical conservatism.  DW Wife Betsy wants us to go, too.  ;)

Happy belated birthday to DS Zach.

I too want to move to England where I have told dogs are permitted in pubs.   Unfair though that only children of men can become citizens, not children of women.  At least that is what I have been told.

Dogs are permitted in the pub at the end of my street; well, on the deck, anyway. The Thirsty Dog tavern, a few blocks the other direction, has a special dog patio and "Milk Bone Happy Hour"!

Most places don't permit dogs on a deck if it has a railing around it.  Starbucks has a deck we can sit on, it can also depend on the location of the deck.  The rules are truly absurd where we can sit with Sherlock & where we can't.

Today we're hopefully finishing up all the projects with our painter. We stripped and stained the deck, stripped and painted the pavillion, and now he's spraying the barn with stain. Of course, this is all due to the fact that DR Jose will be paying us a visit in a few days! ;-)

There are now two (count 'em) houses in our new(ish) neighborhood listed for $1 million.  And they are smaller than this house.

That doesn't surprise me.  If they sell for that in this market then I'll be surprised.

Due to a technical error I have failed in my attempt to record TCB's episode of HIGH SCHOOL STORIES which I thought was to air today at 3pm.

My Comcast listings do not show it airing at that time, so I am guessing it aired at 3am.

Hopefully, DR George will come to my rescue.

I am recording all the episodes (just to make sure) at this very moment. :)

Last night we watched the documentary "Yoo-Hoo, Mrs. Goldberg".  You don't need to have watched the show or be a fan of Gertrude Berg to enjoy this film rich with the history of radio & early television.

Watching DR TCB's show on MTV2 right now.

Don't know which was more irritating....the kids involved or the principal that DR TCB plays.

Hopefully will all survive.

Watching "The Story of Vernon and Irene Castle." Edna May Oliver sizes up a sleazy hotel clerk: "A wife beater if ever I saw one."

DR elmore - Don't forget that Part 2 of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey - Reunion" is on tonight at 9:00!

Isn't that when THE CLOSER is on? I'll catch it at 11:00.

THE LEGEND OF LYLAH CLARE with Kim Novak is on TCM at 5:45, I understand. I wonder what Time Warner channel that may be?

Back from a quick trip to Kroger, mainly for fruit.  I also bought some Laura's Lean and buns so we can have burgers for Labor Day dinner.  Maybe not quite on the cardiac diet, but not as lethal as a Big Mac...

When we had cable it was Channel 82 but that was a few years ago.

For my walk today I wanted to listen to some music instead of an audiobook and picked Bette Midler's Rosemary Clooney Songbook.  I was quite surprised when it ended just as the timer on my sport watch told me I'd walked 30 minutes.  Isn't that pretty short for an album?
