Well, if he can't fix it, I understand that Earl Holliman is good with his hands.

Well, thinking of that should put DR MBarnum into a coma.

But they are much more unorganized than I would like them to be....they are shelved by subject and author, though.

Ours our shelved for appearance which makes them look nice, but it can take forever, if ever, for me to find a book. ::)

Tacoma used to have The Frugal Gourmet, who turned out to be The Gay Gourmet, as well.

Wasn't that the Harassing Gay Gourmet?

Yes, DR Jane, and you can still find Bill Knapp's Celebration Cakes in the grocery stores.  Richard and Rob bought me one for the birthday I celebrated in Indianapolis a couple of years ago:

And now the truth can be told:

THAT FLY ON THE WALL COULD BE AN AMERICAN CYBORG SPY

Quote
If you thought "Robocop" was a little far-fetched, think again. Cyborgs — especially cyborg insects — are making the spy technology scene.

The newest recruits in the War on Terror are high-tech "flies on the wall." Scientists in the U.S. are fitting insects — and rats, moths, pigeons, bulls and even sharks — with special implants so they can be remote-controlled and deployed for surveillance.

The creatures are installed with special electrodes, batteries and even video cameras. The goal is to create the ultimate cyborgs to serve the U.S. as undetectable super spies.

And surely one of Cilla's cats

Maybe Keith can give Ginny some tips on how to make her stacks more pleasing!

Who cares is a patron can find anything, as long as the browsing is a sensory pleasure.

Yes indeed.  When I first met Jeff we were preparing for an Easter Sunrise Service presented by the combined Methodist Ministries of Tacoma.

Mirror, Mirror on the Donald's wall...

French Denis Thevenin shows his invention, a unique system for viewing ones head and hair, set with light and portable mirrors to use for comb, coloring, make-up, shaving, during the opening day of the 36th International Exhibition of Invention, on April 2, 2008 in Geneva. More than 700 exhibitors from 45 countries are present at the World's largest exhibition devoted to innovation in the world. By Fabrice Coffrini/Getty.

My friend Betzy, she of the Gertrude Stein Gertrude Stein Gertrude Stein (that's three Gerts) last weekend; came up with an idea about last week's photo shoot that hadn't occurred to me.  She said that she asumed that they would be using those photos for billboards and ads on the sides of buses.....

Wouldn't that be a hoot!

I'm bummed out at the moment.  I cracked a tooth/crown this afternoon.  We are in the process of switching dentist because ours is so very expensive & we haven’t found he is worth the expense.  My appointment with the new dentist isn’t until May so I have to return to the old dentist, at twice the cost.

I did coax an appointment for tomorrow instead of Tuesday & was old it could be a long wait for my turn.  Since he put in this crown maybe I will get lucky & it will be repaired free-I’m not counting on it.

Much better this way than just listening the soundboard taping, or was it an audience member who taped?. . .

Today was a long and hard day at work. I would like to add that it would have been considerably less long and hard were my boss not a total boob.
