I'm not in any pain, but I do feel rather wiped out. I went to bed early last night, but woke three times, for a total of 6 hours sleep. It's always difficult to get a good night when I have surgery -- or a trip for that matter -- the next day. I look forward to a few days of R&R. I'd like to say no political news, nothing negative, but I know that won't happen. I've been watching "Death in Paradise" and pretending that I'm down in the Caribbean.

Jeanne beat me to the punch - I got waylaid with more telephonic calls and such. We had a nice chat when she got home and she said she was feeling better than she thought she'd be, so that's good. I'll check up on her again.

Today we went to the aquarium were I didn't need a coat. It was Freyja's first visit and it was fun to watch her reactions.

Back from the mechanic place. I asked them to please make it as cheap as possible. The tow guy was super nice - he thinks it's the alternator, but when I mentioned that to the mechanic, he just laughed and said tow guys are not mechanics. So, I'll hear from them when they figure out what it is. Praying it's not too costly. Then the tow guy nicely drove me back home.

That was very nice of the tow truck guy.
