Today is the 50th birthday of my baby sister, Molly!

She is coming by today about 11:30 a.m.   I have a cake and ice cream....and she can open her Mr. Lucky LP!

The yard look so nice today - I am glad that I finished them up yesterday.

BUT I hope that my sister's riding mower is fixed before the next time it needs to be mowed.

I am eating:

"Everything Sourdough Toast"

A large slice of sourdough, toasted, spread half with butter and half with cream cheese (for variety), sprinkled with this wonderful "Everything Bagel" seasoning that, quite literally, turns anything you want into tasting exactly like an everything bagel. It's one of the great food creations of our time, and toasted sourdough is a perfect foundation for it.

Stella escaped this morning, and I spent too much time this morning trying to coax her back into the apartment. Thatch, for the first time ever, decided to see what life existed beyond the door and he tentatively wandered out the door onto the door mat.  All I need now, I thought, is for Annabelle to make a dash for it as well.  As I closed the door, Thatch darted back inside. I decided I'd let Stella wander while I made the bed. When that was finished, I opened the door, and she strolled causally back into the apartment.

My DVD/CD package isn’t in my mail either, and I haven’t checked the mail yet.

bk, perhaps you should have them check your car's battery viability while you're at it.

Back from Jiffy Lube. It was expensive - needed new wipers, and filters, which added 100 to the tally. It took about fifteen minutes. I pulled out, was heading to the Infiniti dealership to get a radiator cap, which was missing, and the car started chugging like crazy, the heat thing was in the red. So, I don't know what's what - I barely made it back home (five blocks). I'll let it sit for a while and see what happens, otherwise I'm gonna have to have it towed to my service place and I don't need this aggravation right now. I think we need really strong vibes and xylophones for this and the end of the week, seriously.

J.B. never pays any attention to the soups I make. But he loves this zucchini and almond soup I made the other day. (I made the soup before the nutso “no nuts” diet.)

The Bold and the Beautiful gets more and more ridiculous every day. I feel so superior watching fair to really decent actors trying to make this inane shit work.

At least she knows where the apartment is.  That should bring you some comfort.

AAA is on its way to tow the car to my usual service place in Studio City. What I do from there I don't know. Probably have to walk back home or Uber.
