DBF told me an interesting tale.... A freind of his is a Geometry / Theatre instructor in Wisconsin. For several years he had successfully staged several musicals including Les Miz and Cats. There isa scaled down version for high schools and colleges. This past year he wanted to stage Urinetown, the musical and the superintendent pulled the plug for she would not have people urinating on the stage as a theatrical presentation.

The teacher was surpised and will no longer, by choice do musical theater presentations at this Wisconsin school. He wanted to do more recent productions than the tried standards. They did Music Man this past year and very few went to it.

T We used that song as part the pre-ceremony music for our wedding.

Another sweet story!

Since it was the second marriage for my DH and I, we used Joe Jackson's "Be My Number Two".

Won't you be my number two?
Me and number one are through...etc.

And what does the parrot perched on your shoulder think of this drag? :)

He doesn't mind.  He has a wooden leg and one wing is in a sling.

Thanks, CLR can etch if you're not careful, so I sprayed on more Clorex Clean-up with Bleach and let it sit. They are fading, so I think I'll just keep doing that every day or so and see if they totally disappear

I do the same thing with dancers who won't learn their routines in my shows.  ;D

Ron, did you see my question about BART last night?

Yes, and I meant to say something about it, but the "The Music Man" stuff and Jose talking about food got me off track and chased it plumb out of my head.

I have taken, and still do take, BART.

DR JRand - Just a clarification - and only because I had one actor who would really milk this line - and I loved it!

Eddie!  That's Eddie's clarionette!

I stand corrected.

But he doesn't know the territory!  ;D

Yes, of course.  San Francisco and the greater Bay Area are VERY earthquake-conscious.  There are procedures to follow if you happen to be on BART during an earthquake...especially if you're in one of the BART tubes UNDER the Bay!    ;D

As for Jose:

He will be pleased to know that for breakfast, I had creamed beef on points of toast.

Like Benjamin Kritzer (circa Kritzer Time), I, too, performed Ya Got Trouble in high school, and can still do it today letter-perfect at the drop of a hat.

I am loving the stories on THE FANTASTICKS.

We will be producing it for the first time (!) this August at the Putnam County Playhouse.  I am very excited because it is also one of my FAVORITE shows!
