OH!

MY!

GOD!!

BK - You HAVE to watch the final two minutes of "You're The One That I Want".  (The previews for next week's episode - which covers the New York auditions.)  *Although, it could already be old news to/for you.

So you recognize someone...or more than one someone?

And one of my roommates just screamed

OH!

I was wondering if it was an Equity and/or Equity Candidate call....until I watched a few minutes.

It just makes me remember all those hours of seeing misguided and deluded people even out here in the hinterlands...

The calls for Danny and Sandy were totally "Open Calls".  Non-union and union members were allowed to audition.  So, we'll see what happens as the show/auditions progress.  The hope is that the casting directors - the NBC casting directors and producers - pick a very good final group of Danny's and Sandy's.  In a sense, they have to pick a group where anyone would be able to open the show on Broadway.  They would have to take some of the "chance" out of the public vote.  -At least that's what I hope they're doing.  Otherwise, the show could end up with two mediocre leads.

*And there have been people I've played for at the agent calls who also went in for the Danny and Sandy open calls.  It's good to know that some people are in the "possible understudy file" file already.

Well... There are "misguided and deluded people" at all levels of the biz, non-union and union.  -And when you see some of these "people" at audition after audition... Singing the same song again and again... The same way...  And then you happen to see them on the street...  And you find yourself thinking/hoping, "Please, do not ask me about your audition.  Please, no."

Showbiz is just showbiz.

Back from watching the first episode of the Grease show.  It's gonna be a l-o-n-g several weeks.  I can think of a few of DS Rob's friends who were in high school musicals who could have done as well as some of those we saw tonight.

Argh!! I keep losing this post!

Okay, first of all, I want to thank one and all and also all and one for the wonderful feel better vibes I recieved.  You really are a special group of people.  I am feel much better after two days of resting and using the pain killers, and I should be okay to work tomorrow.  There is still a fair amount of tenderness in my abdomen, but that's to be expected.

Now, on to our exciting news!  As of this afternoon, we received word that the seller has verbally accepted the offer we made on the house in Tacoma!  This means that unless she changes her mind before faxing the paperwork in tomorrow, we have a house!  I'm so excited, it's really a beautiful place for Jed and I to be.  I can see us being there for many years.  Here are a few shots so you can get the idea of the place.

First, our kitchen.  The cupboards hanging over the island have been taken out for more space.

Fantastic!  How's the guestroom?

Is anyone doing the Blockbuster version of Netflix?  I'm thinking it would be a lot more convenient for me because you can take them in and exchange them or mail them in, but I'm concerned they don't have the selection that Netflix does

Doesn't Blockbuster carry only R-rated DVDs?
