TOD:

I was never into Hippie stuff either, so I passed on most of the "flower power" movies.  Those I saw, I don't remember.

I do, however, enjoy the movie HAIR...possibly because I've never seen it on stage.

By the time flower power had come in, I had moved on to show tunes, movie soundtracks, and the Great american Song book.  Although I find myself getting nostialgic whenever I see bits of the WOODSTOCK movie.

TOD - I was born 20 years too late, as I love anything hippie.  In fact, this is hanging over my bed....

I actually lived one corner off of Haight & Ashbury, though obviously quite a bit after the summer of love.  We were within walking distance of the Grateful Dead house, with the infamous bathtub (if you have to ask, don't).  :)

I can't believe I forgot to post this, but JR, contain your excitement:  SMASH is releasing a CD before the show premieres!!  (Seriuosly, the songs are by Shaiman and whoever cowrote CMIYC, so they at least might be tolerable).

It's actually starting to sound like SMASH is going to be a dramatic version of GLEE set on Bway.  Some American Idol runner up is playing the ingenue.  No, it's not Clay Aiken.  :)

TAMS sent me an additional music folder for FIE ON GOODNESS but not the music for the actors. It is an awkward size to copy, which I will if I must but.....

Does anyone have the song in sheet music form?

Back from Toyland! All is secure at the office and Arnold our cleaning man has been in and tidied up. As for Manhattan weather,  the air is warm and very humid so I'm guessing rain this afternoon or evening.

I've got my personal project to work on and I have two EILEEN scores reasdy to be proofed, so my next few days are set.

Does anyone have the song in sheet music form?

It was only published, along with "Take Me To The Fair," in the British vocal score. If I'd known before I went down to Toyland, I could have taken the score, scanned the number, and sent it to you, DR JRand60.

If you get the chance sometime.  No rush.....we won't be rehearsing it for a couple of weeks.  If you can.  thanks.

DR ELMORE......they probably sent me exactly what you have......no need for you to do that work.  I can do it from my copy.....I thought maybe it had been published in sheet music form.

I will do it from my score.....I appreciate the offer though.

Off to Dayton to do a couple of errands and then learn about philanthropic giving patterns - bye for now!

I'm up and it looks like a nice day.  The telephonic device rang at nine-twenty but I refused to answer it and just stayed in bed till ten.  That said, I did manage to get to sleep by twelve-thirty last night, so it was a good night's sleep with very peculiar dreams, one of which had to do with seeing Book Of Mormon.

We had a storm last night.  I had 2 fairly good sized limbs go down and a flood through the basement.   I was up unitl 2:00 AM working on the water situation.  There is only one solution. I have to rip out all the carpet, tear out the drywall and start over.  I'm not looking forward to it but there really is no choice.  It was 2 rooms instead of one this time, but we did have 2 1/2 inches of rain in about 45 minutes.

They started a new thing here where they blow the tornado sirens when there will be high straight line winds.  The theory is that many people don't take cover when there are straight line winds.  They were about 70 mph last night, so the sirens were blaring.   The cats and I were in the basement....which is how I knew the water was pouring in

I am exhausted, but will get through the day today and then rip carpet up tonight.  It's already smelling musty, so I really can't wait to do it

Yes. I did.  A couple years ago.  I never liked the drywall job but it really did look lots better, and I really do like the carpet, but it's been wet more than once and it's stinky.  I just can't take the chance of moldy drywall when I know the water was coming down the walls. I'll tear out the carpet tonight and then cut along the bottom of the wall to see how high any mold or mildew goes.  I may just demo the whole room again, paint the walls and the floor and use area rugs.

I'm also going to pick up a few bags of dirt and see if I can built up the slope on that side of the house.  Guess that takes care of any plans to visit family
