It's too hot to even wash lettuce for dinner.

I had a cup of clam chowder and half of an Italian sub. It was a very tasty dinner.

I think I'm ready for bed.

We finished the project!

Hee hee hee!

I'm actually taking a break for a few hours.  I need to outline my questions for my client's testimony for her individual hearing in Omaha tomorrow.   I really like her and hope she leaves the hearing with a temporary stamp and a green card on the way.

Since the interstate is still closed from the flood, it will take an extra hour to get to Omaha so we are leaving very early in the morning

Leave it to Christopher Walken to get the one really good laugh in "Kill the Irishman." He's referring to one of Marilyn Monroe's husbands, the comic write, "Archie Miller."

my client has been here for 18 years.  It's amazing how many people who have been here that long are being deported.  It's really sad

And speaking of my next book, it's time for me to buckle down Winsocki and figure out what that book is going to be.

How about a murder mystery based on the denizens of HHW.

If we don't get off page four, I don't think it will be fiction.

Another ninety minutes before food?  I think I may go over there thirty minutes early and have some chicken soup as an appetizer.

Some friends of mine have decided to have a Hootnanny the end of August.  everyone is to bring instruments or their voices and just see what happens.  I think it will be fun.  I'm thinking Andy Griffith, but I'm sure it will be much different.  We do have a number of friends who are very musically inclined.

THE CLOSER will be a sad one tonight after last week's farcical episode. My friend Marcus Giamatti (Paul's brother) is playing the father of the missing child. I haven't seen him in years. He looks good.
