Yesterday, my cousin John and his wife Angel, my sister and her daughter and I all went down to the Nisqually Valley Wildlife Refuge and walked...and walked and walked and walked!  The long boardwalk is about two miles out and two miles back in.  We walked the whole darned four miles.  I wasn't really prepared for it, but my niece (fortunately) brought some sunscreen.  I'm a bit red, but I didn't get a sunburn.  I wore my good walking shoes and my feet hurt, but not terribly.

After we walked and walked back ad nauseum, we went to my parents' house for a barbecue.  Many different foodstuffs were cooked and eaten.  I had a couple of sirloin burgers and they were good. :D After the food, my cousin and his wife and my sister and my mom and I all played Scrabble.  It was a long game, but I didn't lose!  Angel and I actually tied for third (meaning next to last) place.  A good time was had by all.  I then came home and watched some TV and am now ready to go to bed.

Today, I have to get up early because we're going to Seattle for the day!  We're going to the Experience Music Project and Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame.  I've never been.  I have been to my niece's favorite restaurant in Seattle called Cafe Flora, which is where we'll be eating...not (sadly) the Space Needle.  It turns out that The Space Needle was just a suggestion, and no one else wanted to go, so we're not.  Maybe next time.

Have a good day, all!

Good morning, all! I slept quite well and I awoke to a plethora of mp3 files and resumes from Dublin.  I'll have a cast for EILEEN in a few more days. We've put offers out to Eamonn Mulhall and Dean Power for Barry O'Day and Dinny.  I just heard a beautiful mezzo-soprano, Rachel Kelly, for Rosie, the young girl in love with Dinny.

Today, I am off to the Kurt Weill Foundation before I head to Toyland and we finish up the EILEEN scores and parts.

Last night, DR TCB asked about Gavan Ring:
Does he sing Irish beer songs?
Does he drink Irish beer?
Oh Hell, is he married?

I have no answers for him. Yet, but I think he'll be singing the role of the smuggler Shaun for the recording. So, DR TCB, here's another photo for you!

Today is the day.....yes, Messala, today is the day.

I am headed down to the theatre along with two industrious lads to do the lights for CAMELOT.  No slackers.....

My only problem is that I need light shining THROUGH the window.....and the cords would interfere with the fly rods so I am not quite sure how I will accomplish that.....we shall see.

THEN tonight we block the final scene and then sing ALL the songs.

We shall see what we shall see.

Well our prior mortgage servicing company sent an email stating they were no longer servicing our mortgage, and the supposed new mortgage servicing company has no record of us, so I guess this means I no longer have a mortgage.

Today we are having a funky old carpet ripped up and taken out of the old house and the underlying oak hardwoods refinished, which our realtor tells us will add immeasurably to the allure of the house once we attempt to sell it.  The rest of the main floor has the same oak hardwoods (aside from the bathroom), so this will hopefully make everything look more uniform.

JR if you need lobby music for CAMELOT remember that the Windows sign on "tune" is Guinevere.  ;)  Of course it's only the first three notes, but that will get people back to their seats sooner.
