Good morning, all! Too many Drama Book Shop dreams and one about a swimming pool and my Barnes & Noble manager Patty gave me a rather restless night. It didn't help that I was tipsy.
Yesterday afternoon, I met David Brophy, the conductor of EILEEN, at the Comfort Inn on 36th and 10th Avenue (oy!) where he and the RTE Concert Orchestra are being put up for this event at Alice Tully Hall tonight. My reaction was, why did you put one of your best performance groups in such a dump? I arrived there at 3, and the group showed up around 3:20 and checked in. David and I ran down to the Irish Rep at 22nd Street so he could meet a friend from RIVERDANCE whose staging the current production there.

At 6, we walked over to Joe Allen's and met Bruce, Rob, and Joshie for a wonderful birthday dinner. A very good time was had by all, and we rolled out of the restaurant around 8:45. I walked Brce over to his apartment and caught a cab uptown, posted and went to bed.
Today, I have little to do beyond work on recording notes. Tonight, I will trot down to Alice Tully Hall around 6pm, meet David in the lobby and get my ticket for the event.
