I ended up doing a bunch of weeding and sprayed for bugs in the area he needed to work.  It was somthing I had to do and it was good to have it done first thing.

THE MAGNIFICENT AMBERSONS by Booth Tarkington is set in Indianapolis.

I must confess that I have never read the novel.

AND, I did some more investigating about the rewards points and the kitchenaid mixer....it's the 5 quart and is something I would never buy for myself but have wanted for years, so...I spent my rewards points and ordered it.  It means I don't have the points for a trip, but I decided this is something I've always wanted and will be able to use it every day.  I can't wait for it to arrive.

The Dream-O-Matic 6000 has given out with the following interpretations:

DR ELMORE - you would rather stay home than go anywhere today, although you realize that you have more of an opportunity to see friends if you go OUT.

MR BK - your dream of the doorbell ringing tells us that you will soon receive a surprising opportunity because of an effort that you have already put forth, and that you had given up on coming true

From Cilla:
Quote
Ricky got his head caught between the metal slat thingys on the back of the bar stool in the kitchen.

Years ago we were pet sitting a German Shepard puppy when something similar happened.  At least the puppy stayed calm as I was sitting next to her in the chair she got her head stuck in.  Keith was home & helped me get her unstuck.

Vibes this doesn't happen again!!!!!

Ricky was in full panic mode, I was afraid that he was going to fall off the chair and hang himself.  Anyway, I was there and the gash in my arm was worth it as he wasn't hurt.

An Irish Wolfound pup spooked our cat & in her panic she went flying off the second floor balcony.  In mid air I reached out and flipped her around onto my head.  One of the multiple gouges she left barely missed my eye.  Their safety is worth a few gashes.

He was very freaked out last night.  Boo was with him downstairs and I have a feeling she chewed him out for being so stupid as she was hissing at him and he stayed in the basement and he only goes down there at night when she chases him.  I sat with him down there and Boo was there too.  Then Callie came and sat in the door....it was really amazing, it was like she was the mother coming in to take over.    Later, when it was time for bed, I noticed Ricky was upstairs in the room Callie likes to be in, eating her food and she was sitting there purring.  Then I stopped in the room later and he was laying next to her.  I've only seen that once before in the last year.  She was purring and they were touching each other.

He came into my room later and cuddled more than he ever has.   He's ok now

Awww :)

BK, since you often only eat one meal a day do you jog on an empty stomach?

I find that to swim or bike i cannot do it on an empty stomach or i don't have enough energy to do it.

Also, do you carry water with you. I see a lot of people jogging here everyday and almost none of them seem to have water bottles.  I can't bike without water. Although i can swim for an hour without drinking.

I am tryng to picture someone swimming with a water bottle.

Craig is in San Francisco via Chicago.  He had to get up so early this morning to make his flight from Hartford I wonder if he slept last night.  I hope so as the hotel at the wedding resort wasn't cheap.

Thanks Jane, I think I will be.  The decision was a trip I would enjoy for a few days or a mixer I could use for years...I'm turning into a home-body more all the time...the mixer won

I used to love to fly.  I just don't enjoy it anymore.  I'm not afraid to fly and it isn't the security, I just don't like it.

I like that.  I have several traveling options for October & suspect I'll stay at home, mostly because getting on a plane is such a hassle for me.  In May & June I'll likely take two trips back East.  I will definitely go to Chicago in June as Bryan is graduating from medical school.

I have never liked it, not so much the flying part as the barfing part.  Now, thank goodness, I don't normally get so terribly ill but it is harder on the rest of my body.

Craig just called.  He got up later at 5:00 this morning which is an hour later than I guessed.  The smallish airport & the easy car drop off gave him extra time to sleep.  He is getting something to eat and will find a sports bar to watch a game or two while he waits.

I should be doing weeding, and spraying for bugs, but it rained.  I got lucky and slept in instead.  Took a walk for coffee and a sandwich, and now about to get ready for laundry and such.

If it clears up enough outside, we are going to pick up my new guy's brother at the Van Nuys airport.  Seems he needs to take his 2nd helicopter back.   Nice.

It will be a good road trip, I'm bringing the music.  ;D
