I was very happy to be able to be in a large, beautiful theater again last night- So happy I decided to post pictures! I have several pictures to post over several days to give the Dear Readers who have not gotten a chance to see the Camino Theater at LACC (but who will certainly be coming to see "The Brain From Planet X") a view.

I certainly hope I can continue to fetch your diet Coke's for you Bruce, and if they do not allow me to assist you I shall have to Brain them!

PICTURE NUMBER ONE!!!

OOOOOPS! GOTTEN is not a real word. Luckily I am a theater student so I am allowed to make up words, just like Shakespeare.

Adriana:

To avoid driving the board to Cinerama, try "stealing" this smaller version of your pic - and replace your larger one: and, then I'll delete this post.

Hello all.  Good strong healing and supportive vibes  etc for all those in need.

It's all getting a bit rushed here in the land of OZ as we leave here in just over two weeks time. Our weekend of Sept 23/4 is still open for socialising !!
Where is Dolly?  We need a woman who arranges things.

Dolly? You mean Miss Parton?!

She's all "tits and ass", isn't she?! (Parton my French!)

She must be British then!! ;)

DR DAKOTACELT did you get an answer to your question about television schedules for the week of January 28, 1984?  Let me know what you need, if you still need it, and I will check newspaperarchive.com to see I can help.

I think we figured it out.... The show being pimped in the voiceover was Facts of Life....

From one thing we found it was a Wednesday....

yep!!

Heard a zinger and someones else creative spin on ti...

The original zinger between two characters on a show. The woman smarted off to the man.:

"You must have a sterile cockoo in your clock... "

However I have it twisted as "that person has a dense cookoo in their clock"

Yes, but the play is based in 1930s Massachusetts. One of my student workers roomie is doing the play and I was assisting her in doing research on the Boston accent and culture of Massachusetts, namely Boston at that time.

The local colleges are rebelling against the local mindset and pushing the 'local' envelipe and doing more liberal and open minded plays.  I am glad they are doing plays with a message. Matter of fact, a master student last spring did "Vagina Monologues" and the local churches were in an uproar. Then it was pointed out that there was a male version called "Penis Monologues." Of course they proceeded to condemn all the creative arts and condemn them  to a less than pleasant place.

Oddly these are the same ones who have kids that run wild and wreak havoc. Yet complain that there is nothing for their children to do and go on missions to ban books and movies from schools and libraries.

There is a group right now in Fargo who want to remove all Grisham novels and Harry Potter books from local libraries.

I shake my head at them with borderline amusement.

Well a play about Lesbianism by a notorious Commie will do the "push the envelope" trick!
