There was also a memorial episode in honor of a Marine who was killed in the war that youngest daughter Ruthie was writing as a pen pal. Based on a real soldier. As the season I've watched happened during 9/11, such a tribute episode isn't surprising.

There were no bonus features on the disc, so I ended up actually with two hours to spare once I finished the episodes.

I watched two NCIS episodes to finish disc 2 of the set.

The first one had to do with a sabotage aboard a submarine with the team trying to locate the guilty party. Very good episode. This is the first one that introduced Timothy McGee to the show. (He hadn't become a regular yet.)

The second episode took the team to Guantanomo Bay to check out a potential murderer there among some prisoners.

In this episode, Tony knew nothing about classic movies. He had never seen SHANE, didn't even know who Alan Ladd was, and knew nothing about THE MALTESE FALCON.

Obviously this changed by the time I started watching the show in season 4. He's now a movie buff who's forever quoting lines from films.

Yes!  And next, we're going to water the front lawn and then sit and watch it grow!

Not in Georgia, you're not!

Actually, I'm about to sit down and watch the entire 3rd Rock episode from which DR Edisaurus posted that clip a few days ago.  With my 3-D glasses on!  :)

I actually was looking at ordering that season, just to see the whole episode. It's interesting that they brought in a completely different director just to direct the dream sequences!

I've probably watched that clip a dozen times. It's really sublime!

Finished entering the rather large amounts of fixes to the stage direction and dialogue of Dancing Dildos - boy will it be fun to stage and I think I compensated for not having the camera crane.

I also proofed three more book chapters and am almost halfway through that process and still finding the occasional thing I missed the last nine times I've done this.  So annoying.

I truly find it nauseating in extremis that I made the last post at nine-thirty and all you hainsies/kimlets just deserted the site.  How unseemly and I shall ponder the punishment, oh, yes, I shall ponder the punishment.
