Recently, at the request of customers, management at the store has placed sanitizing wipes at the store's entrance, so that customers can sanitize their hands before touching any of the produce or whatever.

I thought that was done so they could clean off the handles of the grocery carts, since who knows where other people's hands have been?

A pet peeve of mine is people who leave their grocery carts in the middle of a car space in the parking lot, instead of taking 30 seconds to put it in one of the cart collection spaces.

And those who take a cart out of the store despite the fact that all they've got in the cart is a single plastic bag that weighs nothing. (Well, that's not a peeve, I just find it amusing.)

Or a store that, on the busiest days - Fridays and Saturdays - consistently run out of carts for hours on end because they don't bother to staff enough people to make a "cart run."

Not that that inconveniences me because I invariably bring in a cart or two when I enter the store, regardless of whether I know they'll have carts or not.... just makes it easier.

Maybe if your wonderful supermarkets wouldn't buy such effen cheap plastic, we wouldn't have to ask you to go out of your way by an extra ten seconds.

Did you know that in some cities, supermarkets can be sued if people throw the supermarket's plastic bags out into the street? Maybe its only in California... but if I remember correctly stores now have to pay money to the city because the environmentalists say it is their fault - the stores, that is - that all that plastic is being littered all over everything.  Of course it's not the fault of the person actually doing the littering...

38 items in an Express Lane?  One can't politely ask her to go to another line?  That doesn't make sense to me...

Just my opinion, but the "customer" is NOT always right!

Lucky I was not in that express line. If so, loud comments about "trailer park arithmetic" and "arthritis of the brain" would have been heard.

Of course, Alton would be screaming at a carrot, if he were screaming, and carrots don't care.  At all.   ::)

If DR Jane was still posting we'd hear about how carrots have feelings. too.

Oh!  And Cheyenne Jackon's "fill-in" is the totally adorable and multi-talented Curtis Holdbrook.

*I would post a picture of him, but when I went to pull a pic of him from BroadwayWorld.com, the "filter" here at the airport said "Access Forbidden: Porn Site".  WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I'll do your dirty porn job for you:

Go Green! Take your own canvas tote. (Woody's store gives a nickel credit for every tote you use)

Well, since it's 89 degrees in Burbank now, I suspect you'd better keep it on!

Good Evening/Morning!

Greetings from Ft. Lauderdale!

My flight - after a sort of amusing boarding/pre-flight period - pulled away from the gate a few minutes late, but we arrived in FLL a few minutes early, so.. No harm, no foul.

Right now, I'm currently in the lobby of the hotel since the internet access in the hotel rooms does not seem to be working properly.  :-\

I've gone through the first 20 minutes of the show I will be teaching/reviewing/brushing-up tomorrow morning, and I shall go over the other half before rehearsal... Which starts at 9:00.  Oy!  -Most of the songs are solos, and since all four soloists have done this show before, well... Tomorrow/today shouldn't be too bad.

In any case...  It's been a loooooooong day, and I do want to get a few hours of sleep tonight, so....

Goodnight.

Mother Nature seems to be having a real bad case of PMS:

At Least 80 Dead in Philippines Typhoon

MANILA, Philippines —  Typhoon Fengshen lashed the Philippines for a second day Sunday leaving at least 80 people dead, but the death toll could rise significantly after a passenger ferry capsized carrying more than 740 passengers and crew.

Villagers found four bodies, children's slippers and life jackets that washed ashore Sunday near the stranded MV Princess of Stars. Port captain Nestor Ponteres said the ferry's owner, Sulpicio Lines, had lost radio contact with the ship and the fate of its passengers was unknown.

OH!  And Ladies - and I do not mean that in the euphemistic way at all - Curtis Holbrook (my apologies for the misspelling earlier) is currently single.

Well, I'm the only one here as it is 12:06 a.m. here in the Pacific NW.  Still warm outside and the A/C won't come back on here just yet so I'm up.  Goodnight, all!
