I had the strangest dream last night...

We were at a large gathering.  They were serving cake and ice cream.  And Hunter Bell, from [title of show] was there.

Then my DH tried to get me to drive a convertible, which I didn't want to do...     :-\

Well, I have an all-day meeting to attend. If they have wireless internet, I'll be sure to let you know if they happen to toss out any interesting phrases like "post-modern."

(We had a minister who said that six or seven times in each sermon, so "post-modern" has become a running gag.)

TOTD

The Miracle of The Boston Strangler's Apartment.
Hmmmm...

New game - put together recognizable bits and pieces of titles to come up with a new one!  And add a snippet of plot, if possible.

How about:

Some Like the Odd Meteor.  (Curtis/Lemmon/Wood)

Two astrophysicist roommates become ensnared in the life of their bimbo neighbor.  Or is it the other way around?  (Think Big Bang Theory with real actors.)

Good morning, all! I could sleep late this morning, so I did. I will shortly be arranging Christmas music.

I will reiterate that it was delightful spending an evening with DR Ben and the Chad Mitchell Trio, and I will try to locate the songs I had not heard before, maybe even resort to calling Joe Frazier.

TOD:
Natalie Wood: Gypsy, West Side Story, Inside Daisy Clover
Jack Lemmon: The Apartment, Irma la Douce, Mr Roberts
Tony Curtis: Sweet Smell of Success, Some Like It Hot

And the word of the day is: DISCALCED!
Tony danced in his disco shoes, while Ti Moune danced DISCALCED.

Good morning!

Another surprisingly cool morning, so open went the doors and windows and on went the attic fan. Sure to heat up soon, however.

I actually feel that if THE GREAT RACE has a weak link (and I don't think it does), it's Tony Curtis. He much less felicitous with comedy than anyone else.

Or...

The Defiant West Side Neighbor Sam.  (Curtis/Wood/Lemmon)

A happily married couple find their lives complicated by the fellow in the condo down the hall.  Hilarity ensues.

I'll be starting the NCIS - Season 5 box set today. I noticed that Michael Weatherley does an audio commentary on the very first episode, but since I didn't start catching up with the show until after the writer's strike, I'll have the watch that first episode twice to catch the plot and then go back and hear his (certain to be) joke-filled comments.

And I plan to watch PSYCH while I cook and eat lunch. Hated missing it last night, but I had that review to finish up before it got too late, so today I play catch up (also ketchup).

The Sweet Smell of Wine and Roses In the Grass.

An unusual selection from Elmore's library - the film actually has a semblance of a plot!!!

And with that, I'm heading back to bed, to catch up on my sleep.  Buster, I think, would like to cuddle a bit, too.

I see that der B has replaced the TV that was in his room, which burnt out, with an older one that used to be in his room when we lived in Long Beach.  The screen is much smaller.

Which means that, when I'm watching DVDs in his room, Doctor Who will more closely resemble Doctor Where.

I'm up, I'm up and I, too, had very weird dreams - I was trying to get to some airport to make a flight on which I was flying first class.  I've already forgotten who my traveling companion was, but I was in some weird hotel and downstairs waiting for a car and realized I didn't have my luggage or computer.  So, I called upstairs and my parents were there (odd, since they've been dead for over thirty years), but this guy I've known for some time answered the phone and wouldn't put them on and finally he said he'd bring the stuff downstairs, which he did about thirty minutes later - no suitcase, only the computer.  There was no time to deal with it.  My companion said he was thrilled because he liked to buy all new things for each trip.  The clock was ticking and we somehow got to the airport, got in the security line.  At this point, I had a computer, one jacket, and a toothbrush and hairbrush in a shopping bag.  I got through security easily (I'd left my keys and change and cell phone in my pocket and still got through).  But we were nowhere near the gate, and then it was one of those endless will we ever get there moments - by the time I got to the gate my traveling companion was gone, but I made the flight, although I woke up before actually getting on the plane.

Well, I got up too late to start and finish my jog before she of the Evil Eye gets here, so I have two choices - I can begin it WHEN she gets here just before nine, or I can wait until I get back.  We'll see how I feel.  I do find it's a bit easier earlier.

*And was there any sign of Jeff Bowen with his shirt off in the background?  ;)
