Still "putting it together" George?
The new cat Walty is in the house. And under the bed in the music room. He probably would do this even if there was no other cat here, since cats need to get used to their surroundings. I can relate. When I move to a new place I can't unpack and relax for a week or two. I have to physically feel at home. As for Killbot, she seemed curious to look at Walty in his cage. Their didn't seem any ill will, but we aren't letting her into the music room until Walty comes out from under the bed.
It works well to give the new cat a space where he feels safe and to give him attention in the space while allowing the cat that was already there run of the house except for the music room and to give her lots of attention. Then to slowly introduce the two cats. I did this with my cats, by the second day they were reaching uder the door to see each other and by the third day were curled up on the couch together. They are wonderful friends now.
TPunk, I am glad you have added an avatar of you lovely self!
TCB - The sound op hadn't so much as seen a single rehearsal? Oy! A 12-year-old kid on follow spot? Ugh. It all makes so much more sense now. Heck, you could've done at least as well drafting me to punch sound buttons and have Ann point a light at people!
And now I am going to embarrass myself by saying that even though I have read through everybody's lists of favorite Sondheim songs, I still have to say that, aside from two songs that JRand54 listed...Comedy Tonight and Send in the Clowns...I evidently don't know from Sondheim :-\
I am sure that comes as no surprise to some! LOL!
I belong to the Sondheim e-mail listserv and someone posted a link with pictures of the Sondheim Celebration at the Hollywood Bowl. Click HERE (http://lang.dailynews.com/socal/gallery2/?folder=news/070905_sond) to see the pictures. The only problems are that they list the song that Carol Burnett and Eric McCormack as "I'm Not Getting Married Today" (it's "Getting Married Today") AND they incorrectly identify Len Cariou as James Barbour! The song title I can understand...it's actually a prominant line within the song, but how could they get Len Cariou's name wrong?? :P
And for DR Rodzinski, Mr. George "The Human Duplicators" Nader...
(I am saddend at how many of my autographees have since passed on!)
And, of course, I was thrilled to see that Marily Berman was in attendance!
As DRMATTH wrote - Battaglia is back on QAF - unfortunately all of the regulars characters are also still on it.
That kind of put me into widescreen, although Denny Miller might be worth it.
...Other notables in attendance last night.... actor, Mark Linn-Baker - who happens to be on the Board of New York Stage & Film; Mr. Sheet Music, himself, Michael Lavine; writer, David Spencer; Michael Rupert; director, Michael Unger; and lots of actor's agents seeing their clients.
;)
I have a few autographs...see the Laurel Massé autograph that I posted earlier today! (Again, THANK YOU JOSE!!) But I don't have a lot. I do have autographs of all the other members of The Manhattan Transfer, but I got them on eBay. I've never met them in person, just seen them in concert.
Janis Siegel is the only of the group I've met (but have seen the rest of the group in concert twice). She was quite friendly in our brief meeting, but I've never been the autograph sort, so I don't have one to show for it.
JMK I'm impressed Gabe walked so far. When is your cross-country trek? It sounds like fun.
Jennifer if you don't get an answer to your question I will see if I can get a response from my cousin for you. During production he tends not to answer his email
OK, time for another martini...James makes them rather strong!
I think we will be watching my dvd of AUNTIE MAME tonight...which I have not y
et seen.
During production of what?
Hope you enjoy it DR Jane. It really is surprising (to me) how it does keep grabbing the reader into the writer's world when it really is not plot driven.
Matt H, we watched the first few episodes of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA and stopped. I really like Mary McDonnell in the show. Unfortunately Starbuck's character & the scripts didn't do it for us.
if you can't get hopped up by outer space duels and lots of intrigue, then something is amiss somewhere.

DR George - You're welcome. My pleasure.
OH!
And she told me that Moxie will most definitely be going into the studio - at least once they find a suitable replacement for Cheryl.
Did Laurel happen to say why Cheryl didn't want to do it any more?
